Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool. Mediocre case. It's one of those over-molded plastic cases that leaves no room for anything except for the tool, the batteries, the charger and a few blades. What drives me crazy about this is that there is all sorts of wasted room here, storage space squandered. Why not trim back some of that plastic and give us a place to put more blades, maybe an extra battery, who knows what, but at least give us the option. All in all, a disappointing case, but a great tool. At least they give us a solid box instead of a fabric tool sack. December 6, 2008
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hackzall "I bought this hackzall kit that came with the case and batteries as well. You get the basic batteries (not the new higher capacity 12v). It is a great little hackzall. I bought this for my work as I needed something small and portable. Not sure if it meant to cut through heavy materials, but cutting through the occasional 2x4 stud which I have done, kills the batteries pretty darn quick Just not enough power to cut through efficiently. I picked up the newer higher capacity batteries and you get a lot more usage before you have to recharge. This is a good little hackzall for less demanding applications. I would recommend getting the newer batteries and If you need even more power from a one handed sawzall, they have now come out with an 18v Hackzall." March 17, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I like this handy, one-handed little saw. It takes all my Sawsall blades with the same quick connect receptor. The Hackzall is as Heavy Duty as all Milwaukee tools are and even though it is a little pricey it is worth every penny to the handyman and professional. I couldn't be more happy with a product of this caliper. November 21, 2008
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little saw I also use the Sawzall blades that I already had so I save some money there. I used this to install my PVC piping for my solar pool heater and it worked great. Nice to be on the roof with no wires to tangle. Battery life is not super long, but it comes with two and they charge quite fast. July 24, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Workhorse Purchased mine when they were considerably less expensive, but have been very impressed. Great power and blade speed; rarely bogs down. The single hand use is a blesing compared to my 2-handed Dewalt, but this one does have a problem getting started in hard materials like pipe, since you don't have a second hand to steady / push it, will dance until the blade takes a bite. Battery lasts long; however the battery meter in handle isn't as helpful as advertising says; indicates full charge up until 2 seconds before tool quits. Battery swap out is quick, and I easily keep a spare in a baggie in my pocket. May 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good for money The only thing with this is that the batteries die kind of quick but overall a great buy. March 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Milwaukee's 12 Volt Cordless Hackzall This is an incredible little workhorse! I bought it for my wife to compliment her Milwaukee M12 Cordless drill that she loves. We are very impressed with it's quality and Home Depot's attractive pricing and speedy delivery. March 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lightweight and Compact This is a good compact saw. It is lightweight and compact. It handles well and has just enough power for a variety of light duty tasks. The big selling point is that it is light and compact. You don't get the power of the 18V+ class. Not even close. Its ok for cutting low-density woods, small diameter pipe, etc. It is for the light-duty, DIY-er that needs to do some light work once every other weekend. The standard batteries, in general, are not very good. In this tool, you get very little runtime per charge. The thin kerf blades help a little, but still not good enough. I recommend the 3.0AH batteries or greater for this one. The standard charger is good. Chargers the standard battery pretty quick. January 22, 2015
