This tool has performed in my various home projects and has really impressed me. I’ve used it to cut hardwood, PVC, wire mold, card board, fiber glass etc. It’s conveniently sized. Battery power indicator and LED are really handy. Pressing the trigger is directly proportional to the speed and that’s how you control it. Changing blades work like plug-n-play and requires no tools. Keep in mind that this is TOOL ONLY; you still have to buy a battery for it unless you already have one. Battery will not come with the charger, so if you buy the battery then you have to buy the charger too. I would recommend buying Tool & Battery as a kit and save some money.

I've a hope chest of 3rd generation old tools. Receiving this modern version of a Reciprocating saw was a blast!
I've spent hours looking for the right tool to put a blade on an old reciprocating saw. I'm having fun just using a couple of fingers to twist a knob with the Quik-Lok blade clamp.
The grip is small enough for a woman, with rubber to make it easy to control.
This isn't a tool I've used often. I've never had one I could grip and control. I'm looking forward to learning new things to do with it besides basic wood cutting.
This Hackzall can be bought as an add on to the 12 Volt Red Lithium Ion Tools with Battery Kits, like the Brushless Drill. They come with an extra battery so both tools can be used in one project.
Lastly, if you didn't notice in the specs, this has a 5,
Five year warranty!

I was very impressed. the reason I got this saw is for the special size and the weight. It does all tight fitting jobs esp my tight spaced plumbing jobs.

Once again I'm blown away by the capability of Milwaukee's M12 line. This one-handed mini reciprocating saw provides amazing performance for its small form factor. It comes with two 4" blades: one for wood and one for metal. The vibrations are minimal when I have the guard pressed firmly against the material I'm cutting. The only times I experience excessive vibrations are when I don't have the material clamped or held down to a solid surface.
So far the most challenging task I've thrown at the Hackzall was cutting down the holly bush in my front yard. That thing was the bane of my yardworking existence, and I finally got fed up with it. The two 4" diameter trunks took quite a while to cut through with a 9" pruning blade, but the Hackzall just kept on chugging. I completely drained a standard capacity M12 battery and got about halfway through the charge on a second by the time I was finished. I've got a total of four M12 batteries, and with multiple chargers I haven't had any projects that I had to pause and wait for them to charge back up. However, if you've only got one or two batteries, you may find yourself waiting during big projects with extended demand for a reciprocating saw.

The M-12 tools are perfect to do electrical, heating, and any other profession in the building trades where you have to get into tight places. All the M-12 tools have plenty of power and the batteries are long lasting. The M-12 Hackzall is a great tool for cutting steel conduit and cutting anything in tight places. These tools M-12 Impact, Hammer drill driver, Hackzall and Flashlight are a must when doing this type of work. Milwaukee also has a great warranty for their tools .

Milwaukee Does Not honer their warranty . Dont buy ... I have two of these . Once the weather got cold they both went bad the same week . They repaired one, one year old one and said the the three month old one was wet to many times . It got wet once, cutting a 1/2" copper pipe and still worked.. until the weather changed to winter..I own well over two thousand in Milwaukee tools . Looks like im going to rigid or dewalt
or a Company that honers their warranties ....

This is one of the most handy tools any contractor or DIY'er can have. Cuts anything, cuts everything, gets in all the small places and has plenty of power to cut hardwood to drywall. I love it and pull it out more often then the Sawzall.
Only fault is I wish it came with a rigid hard plastic case instead of a bag. But its a wonder otherwise.
