These are great tools. I've got 6 sets for my crew. There are 2 levels though. The lower level is awesome, last a long time and a bargain. I don't feel the higher price point style is worth the extra cash.

I purchased this set specifically for a metal roof repair job and because it was light weight which makes it easier for my wife to handle. After the roofing job, I've decided it is a great set of tools. My wife still gets to use them but I do not think I need anything else. I have driven over a hundred 3 inch deck screws without having to change a battery. On lesser screws it will run all day on a battery. I'm pretty sure it is more powerful and has longer battery life than my Yellow Brand 18V XRP.
We actually bought 2 sets on Black Friday to get an extra charger. The purchase was excellent, perhaps the best tool we have ever bought.

I purchased these as a present because I am so well pleased with the ones I have used for two years. I like their power and lightness, it makes a lot of difference when working over head.

I recently purchased the milwaukee hackzall from an auction which had only one battery so the best move in my mind was to add more Milwaukee tools to my bag
when i stumbled on to this deal of two tools for slightly more than the price of one how could i go wrong.
I am now persuaded that Milwaukee tools give you the best bang for your buck if you like quality tools at a fair price.
what's not to like about Milwaukee tools?

The light stays on a couple of seconds longer which makes a big difference to me. It is lightweight and fits your hand comfortaly enabling you to do better quality workmanship on any project you have.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by John Drill ok, Impact great
I bought a similar spec'ed Milwaukee combo set, non hammer, before Christmas at $99 with two standard batteries and one 3.0 xc battery. The price convinced me, was originally looking at the 20v porter combo set for $160 on amazon which is also fairly compact and lightweight. Initial impression was that the drill works nice for unscrewing/ screwing /drilling into soft wood and the impact driver has pretty much been unstoppable so far.
I'm redoing a bathroom and bedroom and have begun to find weakness in the drill. While trying to drive screws for drywall into 30yr old 2x4's, the drill pretty much just gives up and shuts off, had to switch to impact gun or 18v nicad milwaukee to finish off screws. Also while drilling around the drain of an old plastic/fiberglass shower pan for removal, the drill again gave up with bit still in material. While these two ex's are a little tougher, they aren't extreme imo and should have be completed without shutting off, even if slower. So my bottom line if I had to do it again, at $99 i deal with it and swtich drills since I have them, at ~$170, I would look at a drill that has more power (the impact gun can hold its own though).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hifibrucep Great combo kit
Bought this kit after looking for a small and lightweight impact driver. This kit was a great value because it came with a free multi-tool which works great. Also Milwaukee is the only tool company making a 12V hammer drill which makes this drill more versatile than a regular drill. I looked at the Dewalt, Hitachi, Rigid and Bosh kits but the Milwaukee was the best for the price and quality I have used the impact driver and drill multiple times and have used only one battery and it still reads fully charged. I did purchase the M12 XC extended life battery for use with the multi-tool. I found myself using my 12V system over my 18V system because of the lightweight and smaller size. So If you are looking for a great 12V system this is the one.

At first I was a little skeptical of a 12-volt subcompact hammer drill, but for what I use it for, it's blown me away. It has the power to go into CMU and brick for pre-drilling Tapcons and it doesn't drain the battery to the point where I am charging it every half hour.
Fast charging, long battery life, powerful set of tools. I would definitely recommend this.
