Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by With some practice, your pneumatic will become your backup. My first impressions were a bit weary. It definitely has a different feel than a pneumatic, but not necessarily all bad. It does take an extra 1/2 sec. to sink a 16d through a few 2x's, and it doesn't have as much "kick-back," but I've noticed that this tool seems to use fewer blows to sink a nail, which ends up being more efficient. I highly recommend that you pick up a few lbs. of different nails that you use, grab a few scraps from the woodpile, and slam a few hundred "practice" nails so that you can get the feel. Once you do; you'll be more satisfied with this tool. October 14, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by M12 Lithium Palm Nailer by Milwaukee Compared to Craftsman & Ryobi 12v nailers, this thing is a T-Rex. One charge was sufficient to reset all the nails in my 1400+ square foot deck so I could sand and refinish. Battery will NOT set a memory and can't be overcharged. Can be left in charger if forgotten, topped off for a big job, etc. Comes with a Velcro adjustable harness that positions your hand. I removed it and quickly found that the harness greatly assists in the use of the nailer. Sorry Home Depot/Ryobi. I now see why you quit making yours. May 1, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better then any other cordless palm nailer I bought this as a secondary/backup for my pnuematic palm nailer. I used it a couple of times before really needing it for a deck. It took a while to get used to, as the kick was different to the pnuematic tool. I was pleasantly surprised by it pushing 100 nails before a battery change was required. Pluses: Don't have to haul a compressor For a 12 volt decent battery cycle It does put the nails in quickly for a battery operated tool, about 1.25 times the speed of the pnuematic Minuses: Not as fast as the pnuematic Heavier and larger then the pnuematic A solid tool as a backup or for smaller jobs. It worked well in cold weather when the compressor was popping the breaker. While I wouldn't use it for a larger project, it is a great backup and can easily handle the small to midsize projects. It also makes a great secondary palm nailer. December 11, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Great, but hammer failed and returned I loved the tool and it made the job of nailing over 500 nails on a new deck rook reasonable. I'm very glad to not have had to use a standard hammer while crawling around on the rafters while trying to nail so many nails, saved my arm from the hammering and allowed the other hand to hold on for safety. It would have been better if the trigger was designed for both left and right hands and if the collar was exchangeable for larger sized nail heads. The tool did the job and the extra battery charged quickly enough that the work didn't stop after the original battery hammered about 100 nails per charge and needed recharging. Unfortunately, one week later when I needed to hammer some nails into panels of my privacy fence, the unit worked for one nail and then failed to hammer any longer and I returned the unit to the store. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works great and drives anything! I used this tool to drive a railroad spike i cant believe that anyone who has used this tool could have an issue. quick charging batteries reduce down time and will drive lots of nails off one charge. June 2, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This cordless palm nailer is great especially when one doesn't have to drag an air hose around This palm nailer is awesome. The cordless feature beats dragging around air hoses December 20, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by this tool cannot function You cannot get a nail to go straight, any size nail, of any kind, any time, with any luck. Now when I bought, before I returned, this palm nailer I just wanted it for nailing hangers in tight corners. If this nailer would have put in 50 nails kind of straight I would say that it works. The problem is this nailer is not designed at all, its all gimmick. There is no way for a nail to be held in place with any kind of straightness ( I know its not a word but I am using it). I have a very nice Porter Cable palm nailer that I used in place but I am not even comparing the two to one another. This nailer will not drive a nail straight, maybe a 30 degree angle at best and if you wrestle with it to try to get it to go in straight, it just bend the nail over. It does have power, just poor execution. March 9, 2011
