very pleased with my purchase! drove 3 1/2 and 4" deck screws into treated 2x's for a few hours and drilled two 7/8'' holes thru a 8'' 4x4 end to end using a paddle bit all on one charge using the larger battery with no loss of power and battery still has half the charge left!
easily outperforms my 3 year old 18 volt lithium drill.

Best battery powered drill I've every had, it is a "FUEL"/BRUSHLESS easy on batteries.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JohnBoy M12 Fuel beats Dewalt DC725 18 volt
I originally purchased a Dewalt DC725 18 volt hammer drill from Home Depot to replace a Craftsman 14 volt drill I had had for years and to drill 10 holes in a slab of concrete. I was disappointed in the battery charge of the DC725 that lasted less than 10 minutes under a maximum load trying to push a 1/2" carbide bit 1 1/2" into the concrete slab. After two rounds of recharging the batteries I only had three holes drilled. I returned the DC725 to Home Depot who gave me a full refund with no questions asked and no forms to fill out. Home Depot's return policy is great! I purchased the Milwaukee M12 Fuel hammer drill and, after fully charging the batteries, I had the remaining 7 holes drilled in less than an hour. I had to recharge one of the batteries during the process but the 12 volt M12 definitely has much more "hammer" and longer lasting power with its lithium-ion batteries than the 18 volt Dewalt DC725 that uses NiCad batteries. The weight of the M12 is much lighter and less fatiguing compared to the DC725's 4.9 lbs. and there is a noticeable difference in the "hammer" power of the M12 compared to the DC725.

This is a great drill to have in your toolbox. It's powerful for its size and will handle a lot. It's small enough so that it doesn't take up a lot of room in your tool carrier. I'm sold on the brushless drills over the base models, as these seem to be snappier and more powerful. If I had it to do over, I would repurchase this drill without a thought to it!

At first I was worried it was only a 12v battery. I went in and traded my ryobi because it wouldn't go through my concrete floor, down to my basement. Within a couple of minutes I had made it though using this M12. I was surprised that it did it with the battery half way right out the box. Highly recommend!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super04FX4 Tons of power in a compact package
For a 12V drill this drill has a ton of power and the large battery pack last much longer than expected. I have been using it for drilling 3/16" x 5" deep holes in solid concrete and the battery usually lasts through approx. 20 holes before a recharge is needed...great little drill.

Nice versatile drill packaged with a nice box to go with it. Price was outstanding! Love the Milwaukee product line. I have the M18 products as well. Good stuff.

Purchased this drill due to my need for a project involving a hammer drill. Saw the size and weight and the small battery pack and I was apprehensive of my purchase. Use of this small drill turned out to be the best bang for my buck and it works great in all sorts of applications. I drilled 8 concrete bolts into a concrete pad with the small battery pack and I still had plenty of power left for more work.
Using the larger battery, I was impressed how long it lasted for a build of two walls and drywall screw installation. The light and power indicator included on the drill is great. I like this better than my DeWalt 18v drill. Lighter, compact and plenty of power.
