Perhaps at full volume, and with the 1.5ah battery. A larger-capacity battery and running at less than full volume will both increase runtime.

Answer:
Two and a half hours is far more than you will get from a traditional radio. I get closer to four hours out of mine. They make a larger 12v battery which may help you (I don't have). As with all tools get one more battery than you think you will need, and cycle them. Two suits a wekkend warrior, 3 to 5 suits the general contractor for years of performance.

Answer:
Runtime will depend on volume level and battery type.
At half volume with a compact M12 lithium-ion battery, the 2590 will run for 5 hours. WIth an M12 XC (extended life) lithium-ion battery, the 2590's runtime will double to 10 hours.

M12 Job-Site Radio is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 84.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best, Toughest Radio This is the best outdoor radio I have ever owned. I takes a lot of abuse - drops, rain, etc. Sound quality and battery life is excellent. If you have an iPhone 6 or later, it will not fit in the weather protected compartment. If you just want to listen to radio - this is the best (relatively) compact, durable radio on the market!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from lasted 2 years Loved it for the time I had it. Warranty good for one year. Wasn't rough with this radio at all so was shocked it didn't last longer. Will just get a regular radio ... cheaper and lasts about the same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Nice radio. I thought it would fit in my tool box and went with the 12v for that reason. I wish I would have gone with the 18v but the 12v is a great radio and has great reception.
