As a general contractor with severely arthritic hands, I was looking for something that would fit well in my hand, not be too heavy and still get the job done-this is it! I was a little surprised at the amount of power with the M12 battery; the variable speed trigger is nice and the work light is surprisingly bright and very useful. Adjustments to the shoe are easy with the single flip lever and blade changes are simple. I'm sure this will handle anything I can throw at it. Awesome tool!

I was trimming a counter top for a new fridge.1 1/2" thick by 30 deep using laminate blades. Battery packs lasted without issue. By the second cut motor was noticeably warm. Unit worked fine throughout work.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Furious Filipino Plenty Powerful--Needs Vac Port/Blower And Trigger On Lock
Really wanted to like this jigsaw, as I have been quite happy with 5-6 other M12 tools I own. Main problem is the lack of blower or vac port. Difficult to see the cut line on curves, not a problem if you use an edge guide or straight edge, but most of us use a jigsaw to cut curves. Second issue is that while there is a "safety" trigger lock, a trigger "on" lock needs to be added for use on longer cuts of 2' or more--long arcing curves. Call me limp wristed, but cutting decorative curves on hardwood will turn your hands into useless claws after 8 linear feet of continuous cutting, having to hold the trigger down and guide the saw will get wearisome quickly. Other than that, with the right blade, all my cuts in 1" hardwoods have been plumb and/or straight as the cut requires. Plenty of power, but a pendulum action would be welcome on the next redesign.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by darcyh Compact, powerful, but needs a blower
The fit and finish of the saw is excellent. It's well balanced and feels comfortable to hold and guide. The blade is easy to change and seats firmly. For a 12 volt unit power is very good. Using a sharp quality blade the saw will cut squarely through material.
Some users have commented the saw lacks orbital action and this is correct, but I do not use a jig saw for its vigorous cutting ability.
Battery life is reasonable using the included battery. I cut five electrical box holes and some trimming in 3/4 inch pine and battery meter showed 50% capacity after use.
LED illuminates cutting path - a nice touch in a cordless unit.
No dust collection capability.
The saw would be better if it had a blower to clear the sawdust from the blade area; therefore I deducted a star from the rating.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bam808 Best battery jig I've used
Normally I would recomend against most battery tools, due to battery life. However this jig is perfect for small jobs that a corded jig just can't reach or if you don't have power source. It has an led that lights your working area making it easier to see your cut. The blade is super easy and quick to change. All in all it's a great portable jig.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AWAlva Solid feel, comfortable
I like cutting cordless and not having to move or hold the cord out of the way, could have come with a guide as its the first jigsaw I've bought that did not have one, also more blades would have been nice as it was not a baretool. cuts really good , plenty of light and a good plastic adapter to protect the finer surfaces.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rob1 It just feels right!
Already had one. At $60, I bought an 2 more - one for my brother, and one so I could have them in both places I use them (saves moving them back and forth).
If you are doing a lot of heavy cutting, you will probably want to pick up one of the higher amp hour batteries.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Carlos Lots of sawdust on the cutting line
It collects lots of dust in front of the blade, I wish they would have thought about blowing the dust away.
It's good otherwise but be prepared to blow and blow and inhale wood dust.
