Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYinUT Great Battery charger that will charge multiple types of Milwaukee batteries
The battery and charger are a nice set that come as one. I don't know if I would call it a starter pack, as it doesn't come with a tool.
This will charge multiple battery types of Milwaukee batteries. the only downside is that you can only charge 1 at a time.
The M18 battery comes with a cool light display that will show you the amount of charge left on the battery. press the little button on the battery to see the charge. this battery shipped at 50% charge and took about 45 minutes to full charge. 90 minutes for full charge which is accurate to what the packaging states. there is also a light on the charger to tell you when the battery is fully charged.
All in all this is a great battery and charger pack, with some convenient features that take the guess work out of how much charge is left in the battery.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Louie Had three XC batteries go BAD
I have complete set ...........saw hammer drill impact. I found the standard Red Lithium (48-11-1815) holds up great...... might not last as long but is a better battery for me. I wish the XC batteries were better .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charlie Great product at an excellent price!
This is a great package deal from home Depot. Excellent value for the money. I'm sold on the quality of Milwaukee Tools. I have purchased several M18 and M12 power tools as well as many of the hand tools they offer. The quality and performance of this product has exceeded my expectations once again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mark the Homeowner Wonderful tool
I live in Ft. Lauderdale Fla, with the incoming Hurricane this week, I had to clear out a large Bod of Plam trees growing in my backyard against my house. Some of these trees were 15 ft tall and had a base of 3-4 inches. Normally I use my Rockwell equipment. But I would have to run 1 or 2 extenstion cords; all may equipment are the "olden" type, but still top of the line. My neighboor said: Here try my Milwaukee Hackzall, model 2625-20 M18 model with his M12; M18 charger. Within 20 minutes, half-hour with water brakes, (for me) the whole job was done & cleaned out. The saw never stopped. It is light; & comfortrable to use with one hand; and cut thru all the branches, trunks, & palms without any problems. It was a joy to use. I will defintaly keep my eyes open for a sale on both these products to purchase. Thank you for makeing a excellant product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RT75 I liked the idea of the dual voltage battery charger.
I liked the idea of the dual voltage battery charger. I only have to carry one charger in my truck now. I hope this new battery works as well as the ones that came in the tools that I use.
I mostly liked that the price for charger & battery were the same as just a battery from my wholesale house that I originally purchaced my tools from.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charlie Finally I only need one charger
Finally a charger for both my batteries. Nice having one charger for both 12V and 18V, slowly cleaning my work bench. The extra 18V battery was a nice addition as well. Charging times seem to take as long as old single battery chargers, at least now I can do 2 at once.

Started a kitchen remodel and as I was using XC battery one of them wouldn't charge and had the red green lights blinking. Then shortly after the other battery failed! I have only owned the batteries for 14 months that came with the combo kit and I am very disapointed that they only lasted a year. I am sending my wife on a 40 mile round trip to a service center to have them replaced under warrenty. I absolutly love my cordless sawzal and circular saw but they are useless without batteries that last/work. Very costly to replace and one of the reasons I went with Milwaulkee is because of their warrenty so I hope that it works out. 3-2-12
