I consider myself a do-it-yourself, weekend warrior when it comes to renovations and woodworking projects. I have purchased many lights throughout the years, most of which fit into the following categories: 1) not bright enough, 2) a pain for dragging extensions cords around, 3) burning my arm each time I accidentally touched the light housing, or 4) replacing broken bulbs due to dropping the light. The Milwaukee M18 flood light definitely leads the pack in portability, usefulness and durability. I take it into my attic, out into the backyard at night, and most of all use it on my household projects. The hexagon design allows it to sit on the floor in various positions, and I especially like the 1/2" hole in the side of the light which allows the light to be mounted on a vertical 1/2" conduit pipe for which I have created a simple concrete stand (see pics). This keeps the light from getting lost in my piles of debris and tools while I am working. If you are wondering how bright it really is, one of the local woodworking stores has a warning sign on the display stand stating, "Do not look directly into this light when turning it on!!!". The other pic I have attached is of the light projecting from my back patio door at night on the highest setting (there is a slightly dimmer setting as well). Imagine what it would do to a dark room in the house! Well done, Milwaukee. Again you've proven yourselves to be leaders and innovators.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by CTShrinkWrap Best LED Light I've used. Really Bright - Great Product!!
This light is great! I bought it to continue working outdoors after dark in the winter since its dark at 5pm. Be sure you get a XC 4.0 battery to go with it - you will get 3hrs on high and 6hrs on low. (Low is plenty bright - only used high once just to try it out...) The light temperature (color) is similar to incandescent - its not that stark white usually put out by LEDs.
I own 2 of these lights and I'm very pleased. Only improvement would be to make the buttons a little harder to press because the light could get turned on accidentally and you may not know it. I just remove the battery when not in use. Also, it would be nice if they made an optional stand to go with these.

I had had my eye on this light for quite some time, but though I would check here frequently, I had never had the luck of finding it as being available for purchase. That is, until last weekend. Boy, was it worth wait!
I don't know where to start. I mean, it does one thing, project light - a lot of light. I have the Milwaukee M12 led flashlight, and that throws a good amount of light. I would judge this to light up an area at least 6 times the size of the M12. It's a warm white, similar to an incandescent, as opposed to the typical cool white of an led.
This light seems very well-constructed. The plastic used is very heavy-duty, and I'm certain impact-resistant. The "fit and finish" of this unit just screams quality. I have a couple of the typical quartz mounted-in-a-cage lights, and I had expected this to be of a similar size, but was quite happy to find that it is very compact. The octagonal design to it allows a good amount of aiming options. The conduit stand option will be nice when using it on the jobsite, and it also has a notch to hang it by a screw from a stud.
This unit throws an impressive amount of light. Similar to a 300w quartz work light, if I had to guess. Inside, it lights up a room pretty fully. Outside, it lights up my yard pretty well. Certainly more than enough to work on a vehicle in the driveway at night, if need be, or out on a trail somewhere. Stuck it under my truck, and it's like daylight under there. I've read that the low setting just about doubles the run-time, but it's really more than adequate for most instances, I'd say.
I primarily got this to use in my profession, the electrical trade. Despite all the light it throws, the lense does not get hot to the touch, nor does any other part of the body, so there won't be the worries normally associated with worklights in confined spaces. It'll be great up in attics, and in crawlspaces. But, I can envision many uses for it, like when I'm packing up the boat after an evening's fishing, or the next time I have to pull a neighbor out of a snowbank after dark. Camping, obviously.
To sum it up, it's like having the sun at your command! Well, pretty close to that, it seems. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DCB2014 Light, portable, and cool to the touch but as bright as a 500W halogen
Light, portable, and cool to the touch but as bright as a 500W halogen without the scorching heat. Carry, hang it, sit down at one of the 8 different positions. Bright WHITE LIGHT without the danger of the standard halogen. Battery life is excellent M18 4.0

This is the best light I've ever used. For years I've been looking for a bright cordless light to hang on my power trowel. For those fall days that end to quickly. It really lights up the concrete. No aggrevating shadows from pickup headlights. It's also great for the jobsite. No more leaving tools/materials on jobsites because it was to dark to see them.
