No I had purchased another awesome tool from Milwaukee...the impact tool. A little pricey ($400.00) but it came with 2 (two) XC Lithium 18 volt batteries. I purchased it to do our tire rotations. Great tool, takes lug nuts off like bam! Anyway - I purchased the raw too, (drill only) no batteries no charger. Actually since I got the impact tool w/2 batt, I've purchase multiple 'raw' (only tool) tools from Read More

What are the key differences between the M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/2 in. Cordless Hammer Drill Model # 2607-20 and this model, the M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/2 in. Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver Model # 2602-20? I see they are both selling for $119 for the tool only but the latter appears to be much harder to come by in Home Depot stores withing a 70 mile radius of my location for some reason. Which model is superior?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke after 30 times m6 holes in brick and mdf. While installing my new kitchen my new milwaukee broke after drilling some holes in mdf and a brick wall. The speed change (from 1 to 2) doesnt latch anymore. It doesn't do anything anymore. Hope the supplier can fix it WITHOUT additional costs. I had to convince my wife i needed this premium tool for the installation of our new kitchen. All for nothing... I thought milwaukee was premium, guess not! March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Drill is Awesome I've had Milwaukee's forever, since they were built and assembled in Germany. Still do. Unfortunately my German made Milwaukee Drill started smoking but still runs. I just use it for small jobs. But this Hammer drill is awesome. I was a little concern since there manufacturing them over seas but man, you can feel the Heavy Duty feel, it's robust. This thing is awesome. I got mine in mid 2014 for $99. They went up 10 - 30 bucks, depends where but I'm going to get me another one after Christmas. Hopefully it'll come down to $99. If not, I'm still going for it! Great tool, especially for the $$$ December 31, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Warantee is terrible I purchased this drill in a cambo with an impact. The impact works great, the drill is a different story. When I first got it the light on the drill was on constantly. I sent it in and they repaired it at no charge. Later I was drilling 3" holes for plumbing and after 4 holes it started to burn up, so I stoped useing it and let it cool down. When I went to use it again it had lost all power an instantly overheated. I thought no problem it's covered under this amazing Milwaukee warantee. I sent it to Milwaukee and after two weeks they called me and told me it's not covered due to "excessive load." They wanted $94.00 to repair it, a new one is only $119.00. I find it strange that Milwaukee brags about how much more torque and power this drill has over other brands and yet I'm stuck with a burned up drill. I have a Dewalt and a Ridgid that I've put through the same use and they still work just fine, I've had them for years. This is the last Milwaukee product I'll ever buy. November 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by My first and last Millwakee cordless drill! I was very impressed with the outside built quality but soon i noticed that the chuck wobbles and the motor/brushes area gets hot with minimal use. Drill works and i can tell it has great power but i just don't like how fast it gets hot and the wobble chuck it should not happen! My friend has the same drill and he told me the same thing. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by unreliable Bought this 1 year ago clutch started slipping when driving screws in got it back less than 2 months later same issue now 4 months later I'm having to return it again same issue I would not recommend this drill due to maintenance issues Milwaukee service very good prompt service. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Power when you need it. I was building a false floor in my garage and my 12v Drill/Driver wasn't getting it done drilling holes in the foundation to secure the floor. My local home improvement store had a awesome sale on this unit that I just couldn't say no to and needless to say it is now my go to tool when I need a drill. Not only did it make securing the floor to the foundation easy but the construction of the rest of the floor went much faster. I also love that there seems to be more metal in the construction of this drill than many others that I looked at. June 18, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Broken trigger after < 6 months I am a carpenter and mechanic. Internally the plastic rotation selection 'cam' broke and I cannot switch from reverse to forward. The black perpendicular tab cracked/bent out of alignment and no longer lines up with the internals of the trigger. On further inspection the switched electronic circuit adjacent to this cam was moving sloppily in the housing. Now I nervously hoping I can get warranty replacement or have it fixed inexpensively since I spent over $320 for this tool originally. May 20, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The Chuck(?) Broke After Two Weeks This came with my 6-Piece M18 RedLithium kit, and I was in love...until I tried using a lowly SPADE BIT to drill through some 2x4s. After a wonderful screeching/whirring sound, the drill is now unusable (my guess is a broken chuck)...after only 2 weeks! I am going to save my final jusgement until I get it fixed (hopefully, I just got the bad one in the batch) but as it stands, it gets a failing grade :( I will update my review after I get it back from it's repairs July 22, 2012
