Great one handed operation. A little heavier than it looks. Not many blades specifically made for the unit but the sawsall ones work well with the unit. I use the larger batteries so if you have some smaller ones that may lighten it a little.

The saw was easy to use and fits well in my hand. I wish they would come out with a FUEL design,FUEL design appears to have power and the batteries last longer.

Size makes it easier to work with. Ability to attach blades both ways is a big plus.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TK This saw will let you down and the Milwaukee Custumer Service will not call you back.
I have bought two of these saws in the past four years. The first one lasted about a year an half. I took it back to Home Depot and they sent it out to be fixed at no charge to me. I didn't know they were not a service center for Milwaukee tools at that time. Well it worked fine for about a year and i took it back to Home depot again. Well i couldn't be with out a saw for the few weeks it would take to have it fixed. So i let them send it out and the bought the second saw that day. A month later they said my saw was ready so i went to pick it up and they tried to charge me $120.00 for fixing it, i said no keep it. This is when i found out they were not a Milwaukee service center.
I thought i must have got a lemon saw so i went on with the new saw and it was fine for only a year.
I call Milwaukee this time and they give me the service center Information. I take it to the local place in town 3 weeks go by no call. I call them and the Parts are on back order and its going to be three more weeks until its fixed. I am not happy so i called the Customer service place for Milwaukee and told them my concerns and ask for someone to call me back they said a supervisor would call me back. IT NEVER HAPPENED!! A few weeks go by so i call back again. I tell them the Problem. I have bought thousands of dollars of Milwaukee tools over the last few years. I worked hard for the money to buy Milwaukee Tools. For the record i like Milwaukee tools. But they have not called me back yet. and its been 3 months with out my saw. I am $600.00 in the hole on 2 of these saws DO NOT BUY ONE. What good is a 5 year warranty if the parts are going to be on back order and i am with out my saw for months.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AndrewGigawatt Ergonomics at its best!
If you have never used or purchased a Reciprocating saw, Hackzall, Sawzalls, etc. this is definitely for you. The other styles (Sawzalls) are much harder to hold steady and they put your arm in a bad position to use them which puts extra strain on your wrist. This ergonomic (tool only $99) Milwaukee Hackzall 18v fits in your hand like a sword and is easily manipulated to stay where you want it to cut with far less effort or force. I highly recommend this Hackzall and I also recommend the smaller version (tool only $89) Milwaukee Hackzall 12v.
The 18v cuts about 20% faster than the 12v, but the 12v can fit into tiny places that need miracle cuts to be achieved. I purchased both and I am always using both for various tasks.
