Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by UnionCarpentersWife A powerful combo at a great price!
I purchased this for my husband at his request. He is a carpenter, and they use Milwaukee on the job. We had a competitor's product in the past, and after only 2 years that one died, and it never seemed to have the power this Drill does. Since purchasing this drill, my husband has made a night stand, two toy boxes, and a box to hold a friend's mother's ashes in. He is currently working on 2 matching nightstands for my father. He just loves using this drill!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Apexgroup Swicthed to Milwaukee and was a good move
Being a General contractor I have used (major tool chain) impact drivers (have bought manyof the same year after year) but after research I found this combo set to be the best value for a top rated tool (per various review sites and articles). I have found the impact driver well balanced and the hammer/drill very useful as a cordless.
*Tool stays cool
*light enough to hang from tool belt without being cumbersome
* its light seems well placed (there are shadow moments)
*bag has been very nice to put bit assorment case in with driver (cases are very tough to repack at times
I do think I will purchase a larger battery just for those long days

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Frog So far an excellent combo
This kit cost $269.00 but included a third lithium ion battery at no additional charge. I purchased it 5 days ago and charged all three batteries, which only required 15 minutes each. I used the hammer drill and the drill driver all day working on my deck. I drove over 150 2" and 2 1/2" screws, as well as removed others and drilled starter holes for most of them. The tools worked without a hitch. Batteries lasted all day before they got down low enough to need recharging. I still had the 3rd battery in reserve. They are powerful and still relatively light weight for an 18 volt with a 3 amp hr. battery.
The case "bag" could be padded and divided is the only thing that would improve this product.

Great sound and durability. Don't be afraid to throw this one in your tool bag because it can handle it. The battery lasts an entire day.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TobeyShep Another set of Milwaukee Tools added to my tool chest
Have used this very little as I have only had it for a couple of weeks. I had a problem with the 12 / 18 V charger the first time I tried to charge a 12 V battery. It won't charge either the 12 or 18 V battery. I am going first to Home Depot and if no satisfaction, I will go to Milwaukee. I have owned and used the Milwaukee Corded and 12V tools extensively for several years and am very happy with them except the chargers.
The only other complaint is the soft-sided tool bag does little to protect the tools or charger. A divider to protect the charger and two drills would be a great plus for both Milwaukee and the customer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chepe Milwaukee over Makita
I bought both the Makita 18 Volt and MIlwaukee M18 for comparison. While the Makita was lighter and more comfortable to hold, the Milwaukee edged it out on power and quality. It comes with a side handle which helps while needing additional force and while using the hammer drill feature. Also liked that it has a battery check feature so you know approximately how much longer you have before recharging. The battery is very slim which makes the overall weight of the drill lighter.
I have had a Ryobi for years and just finally decided it was time to man up and get a real drill. Loving this one so far and recommend it to anyone serious about using a quality drill.
