Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chepe Milwaukee over Makita
I bought both the Makita 18 Volt and MIlwaukee M18 for comparison. While the Makita was lighter and more comfortable to hold, the Milwaukee edged it out on power and quality. It comes with a side handle which helps while needing additional force and while using the hammer drill feature. Also liked that it has a battery check feature so you know approximately how much longer you have before recharging. The battery is very slim which makes the overall weight of the drill lighter.
I have had a Ryobi for years and just finally decided it was time to man up and get a real drill. Loving this one so far and recommend it to anyone serious about using a quality drill.

For the price, this is an awesome set. I needed a hammerdrill and impact for my job as a glazier and could not be happier. The batteries run done a little faster than I hoped so it didn't get 5 stars but after getting the extended battery, that was solved. I have already abused these and they handle it so far, they are strong and get the job done. The other guys at my job have had the yellow brand (not supposed to say name) and they keep having to get them fixed or replaced and they are now buying this set, 4 of us so far switched.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Apexgroup Swicthed to Milwaukee and was a good move
Being a General contractor I have used (major tool chain) impact drivers (have bought manyof the same year after year) but after research I found this combo set to be the best value for a top rated tool (per various review sites and articles). I have found the impact driver well balanced and the hammer/drill very useful as a cordless.
*Tool stays cool
*light enough to hang from tool belt without being cumbersome
* its light seems well placed (there are shadow moments)
*bag has been very nice to put bit assorment case in with driver (cases are very tough to repack at times
I do think I will purchase a larger battery just for those long days

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lhill The best yet.
I use cordless power tools all day everyday. I have bought about every brand.I also use a lot of snap-on cordless power tools, which for those of you that know what snap -on is, you know its expensive but the best. I have spent so much money on dewalt cordless power tools, and they do not live up to a great tool in my book, I toasted both the drill and impact in about 8 months, and I also had to replace the batteries twice under factory warrenty. This is my 3rd Milwaukee drill and impact set, I have purchased. Now all my employees are using milwaukee , and they are the best, the first pair I purchased 5 plus years ago are still going like new, I have only purchased 1 battery, all other batteries still work very well. If you need a great hard working tool, I believe Milwaukee is the very best on the market, no other brand from dewalt, royobi, Bosch, and makita. hold a candle to what I have grown to expect from the milwaukee brand.

Highly recomended ! Bought this to tear down a wood deck ! Batteries will remove approx. 150-180 3in screws on a single charge each ! Recharge time is Quick usually less than the alloted time of thirty min. Absoluty love the impact seems to not strip the screws as bad !

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Frog So far an excellent combo
This kit cost $269.00 but included a third lithium ion battery at no additional charge. I purchased it 5 days ago and charged all three batteries, which only required 15 minutes each. I used the hammer drill and the drill driver all day working on my deck. I drove over 150 2" and 2 1/2" screws, as well as removed others and drilled starter holes for most of them. The tools worked without a hitch. Batteries lasted all day before they got down low enough to need recharging. I still had the 3rd battery in reserve. They are powerful and still relatively light weight for an 18 volt with a 3 amp hr. battery.
The case "bag" could be padded and divided is the only thing that would improve this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pro1 Much Better Then DeWalt
I do a lot of drilling and fastening in cement and I found that Milwaukee M18 Hammer Drill is far superior over the over rated DEWALT DCD950KX 1/2 in. 18-Volt Hammer. Yes I own both and yes I was surprised as well. The DeWalt locks up when drilling holes deeper than 1 inch. When you would think that both being heavy duty that should perform about the same. But not true. The Milwaukee is my main tool that I use every day. So if you are thinking about buy a real hammer drill go with the Milwaukee.
