Has anyone physically inserted the 9.0 in the m18 wet/dry vacuum to see if it actually fits in port?

how much does the battery weigh??

Asked by: hitman
Think its about 3.5lbs, I do know this, when i plugged it into the milwaukee sawzall and lifted it my first thought was I will never buy the 9.0 as its just too heavy to work with for any amount of time. Any tool after 7lbs or so is just a waste of time IMO. And with the new 9.0 batteries all the tools will be in the 10lb or more range. I'd rather save my wrist strength for the job at hand and change the battery once a day:) As it is, my 5.0 will pretty much run all day for my needs which is building outdoor structures, patio covers, outdoor kitchens, interior remodels etc. Not sure who they built the 9.0 for but as a pro builder it actually is too much battery to weight ratio.

M18 18-Volt REDLITHIUM High Demand 9.0Ah Battery Pack is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 9 cranking amps I ordered this battery from homdepot and what a battery for run time on many devices example it ran my m18 flood light in high mode for 5 hours 33 minutes minutes and on m18 job site fan 6hours 3 minutes also the in high mode. This great battery ran m18 circular saw. This Battery is thermally cool on high drain m18 tools like the m18 sawzall, m18 rotary hammer, m18 impact driver and hammer drill But battery did have some challenges such as fitting into some m18 tool cases and on job site fan battery mount rested on level with the bottom of fan other then these it's a really great battery

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful as advertised, Big n Heavy too OVERALL: Big powerful battery, at least plus 50% over 4.0Ah. Significantly better than the 4.0. Size and weight difference were noticeable on drill, less on SDS hammer. Wont fit in many hard cases. POWER: The 50% more than 4.0Ah seems to hold true, maybe more since my 4.0Ah are several years old. Heck of a lot easier than carrying my spare battery. SIZE: Longer and wider by about a half inch. It will not fit in an of the hard cases I have, not the end of the world but worth note. Works with all tools I have, but might not with older close compartment tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOLY COW !! Just received this new 9.0 I was so ready to hate the hype . So so wrong this 9.0 battery does exactly what it was said to do ! Night and day difference between a 5.0 and the 9.0 omg you can hear the power difference in any tool you put it in. Home Depot has a awsome return policy I must say I bought the new 9.0 with intentions just to try it out and see the hype was just that and return it . No such luck this battery is way way to good I have to say every tool I tried the tool was reborn with new found power ! Thank you Milwaukee I really am a believer. From super hole hawg to grinder to vac it's incredible. Yes it's bigger yes it's a bit heavier but once you start using what ever tool it is you put it in and feel the difference you will not want to use any other battery .

I picked up the battery with the M18 7 1/4" saw and would not want to lug it around all day. I have a corded (new) Milwaukee and Ridgid 7 1/4" that rarely get out of my truck or storage. My 6 1/2" M18 is awesome, super light weight and I use it to cut 4x12 cedar beams all day when building patio covers. I think the 5.0 is the perfect battery, excellent run time, perfect weight and easy to work overhead and at heights with all my M18 tools. This 9.0 may be "even more powerful" etc etc. but really isn't two scoops of raisins enough if you're carrying it around all day:)?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Industrial Cordless Power For the average homeowner, the Milwaukee 18-V 9.0Ah High Output Lithium Ion battery systems may be overkill for smaller and quick DIY projects. However, if you desire or have a need for the best, long lasting extreme power cordless tools on the planet (IMHO), then this battery system, combined with their 18-Volt Redlithium extreme cordless tools, may be just what the doctor ordered!! Outside of added weight & cost, now commercial construction crews (or serious DIYers) can cut the cord and experience the freedom, power and reliability of well engineered, extreme built power tools that go anywhere, anytime, anyhow to the jobsite...day in, day out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Powerful Well made, fairly light-weight, and packs a wallop! This is a 9.0 amp-hour battery, compared with a more typical 5.0Ah. The "fuel gauge" on the battery shows at a glance the percentage of power left in the battery. The actual time remaining will depend on the usage of the tool. Charge time can be anywhere from 30 to 100 minutes, depending on temperature and other factors. The new battery that I received was showing one light on the fuel gauge. It was fully charged in about 30 minutes. After drilling a couple of holes in concrete, the battery is still showing a full charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All day battery life This battery is meant for high drain M18 tools such as high lumen lighting, sds drills, vacuums, etc. I got these to go with the M18 flood lights that I will be using at work at for camping. I used this in and got 6.5 hours usage out of the Rocket LED tower light with it on high (2000 lumen) and the battery was still showing two bars left. I also used it with the compact site light (4400 lumens on high) and got about 4 hours on half a battery. The purpose behind these batteries is both to give you all day power as well as longer life on Milwaukee's high power/high drain tools. I thought this battery was expensive until I saw how it could keep me productive the whole day without having to take the time to change batteries multiple times a day. Well worth the investment, especially if you are heavily invested in the M18 line of tools!

Although a bit... one of these can easily replace the 2 5.0Ah battery packs that I previously used. Although a bit heavier so it makes the smaller lighter tools more unbalanced and tiring to hold all day. I just moved the smaller capacity batteries to exclusive use with those tools and the higher capacity ones to the heavier demand tools. The 7.25 inch circular saw is a battery eater until I got this pack. Now it works all day making 100's of cuts without stopping to swap batteries. No excuses now i guess, that may not be a good thing all the time, battery needs changing won't be an excuse to take a break.
