Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LDMachine Best Impact for automotive work. Buy the friction ring model not pin detent model
The problem I had with the pin detent is that it was way too tight and broke off with the first use.
I bought this model because I had a problem in the past with a friction ring torque wrench.
So I am returning this one for the friction ring model.
Buy the rubber protection Jacket it is a good investment.
The performance of the tool was as good as my pneumatic Ingersol Rand impact. Tightening of the lug nuts on my Chevy van were good and tight, and removal was very good for lug nuts.
I was skeptical about a battery powered impact but this one does the job just fine so far.
I compared it to other Brands like DeWalt and Ridgid but this one won hands down.
I wish Milwaukee had a no hassle lifetime battery replacement warranty like Ridgid.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Justsmart Sell your air impact
Buy this and sell your air impact. This tool is one that you must see to believe. I have removed crank bolts from Honda's and driven lags through railroad ties without any sign of stress. It is a BEAST and there is nothing that I have encountered that can touch it. The flexibility of a cordless tool with the run time I have seen is invaluable. If you have a need for a high torque impact and for me the occasions are rare but when you need it there is no substitute. This is THE best game in town. Buy it before you find yourself wondering why you didn't or kicking yourself for not doing it sooner.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by pist Nice impact but has some glitches, apparently.
The tool usually works pretty good, but I'm a little disappointed. Had it mysteriously quit two times. It wasn't too hot or overloaded. I was working on a high-voltage powerline. Contacted customer support and at first they said that 'could' be the problem then they said it was not the problem and that someone would get in contact with me. They never did.
Don't really like the pin detent too much. The forward/reverse button needs to be a tad longer. Sometimes the trigger gets stuck and won't move back when I want to forward impact. It did that the other day, and dude tried to hand me his DeWalt, but mine finally hit. Maybe it just needs breaking in since I haven't had it very long. Otherwise, plenty of power, holds a charge good, rugged and durable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaddyO WOW!
This thing is a beast! I have yet to find a bolt/nut this thing can't remove or at least break (got to remember which mode you are in). I love the portability factor. I will be taking this along whenever we tow the boat or for any long road trips. It's great for salvage yard trips too. Best tool purchase I've made in many years that has impressed me this much. The batteries last a very long time just as advertised.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kevin Perfect Tool for All Users from Handyman to ASE Mechanic
The Milwaukee M18 Fuel is a Must have tool for all skill levels and can be used by a Handyman doing Lag Screws to a ASE Mechanic with Car repairs. The Tool is very powerful but well balanced with great features such as the Extended use Battery and the LED light . This tool should complement the Roll of Duck Tape and the Recip Saw in everyones tool box. Kevin M - Media, PA

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jspro A very Nice Tool That is Well Built
You can tell a lot about a product by the case that it comes in. The case which is very well molded for the drill, the extra battery, and the charger. the case has very well built in hinge that will last for years to come from opening and closing the case. Milwaukee brand has been around for a long time now and I can personally say from using this brand for years that they are very well built and tough for the environment for which it is manufactured for. The drill itself those somewhat big in the hand is very well built though personally I would say one should hold the drill with both hands for safety. This drill has a brushless motor which claims to produce a longer life for the motor. it also comes with a handy LED work light that stays on a few moments after use, very nice feature. it also has to settings at the bottom of the drill one for low torque one for hi torque. I think this drill would be a very good investment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sdgiant Lose the Air Hose, Not the Power
When they say high torque, they may be underselling this thing a little. Really blasted through every test I tried. It lists as 10,800 lbs of torque... That is just crazy compared to ANYTHING else I've seen.
A few strong points (outside of power):
1. Battery holds an extremely long charge
2. LED light is well placed and bright
3. Better balanced than any air impact I've tried
Obviously it costs more than your average air or plug in. Hard to really compare though. The feature set of this tool practically puts it in another category.
I'd also say it feels like this drill doesn't twist your wrist as much as an air impact... that could be perception, but that is my impression. Can't say why that would be, possibly just that an electric trigger cuts the power more quickly? Anyway, that's a big plus if it holds true for you too.
I'm uploading a lag bolt test I did here, but will upload more later. I'm especially looking forward to seeing how this speeds up deck bolting. Hopefully the video gives an idea of it's power. You really need to try this beast out!
