Is the only difference in the Milw fuel 2604-22 and 2604-22ct the batteries and therefor the performance due to a larger/smaller battery?

In other words they are the same drill body? They do not have it in stock and the milw sales rep at home depot never heard of the 2604-ct model.

Answer:
That appears to be the only difference. The smaller battery results in slightly less peak torque and obviously a shorter time between chrarges. The advantage is lighter weight.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Chuck jammed after hammer use Returned to store after 2 weeks. Hammering concrete the bit was almost impossible to remove. Previous Milwaukee chuck had same problem. April 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by M18 2.0mah hammer drill Very 1st thing I did with this drill is drill several 11/18" holes with an Irwin self feed bit in 2x4s on low tq setting. Very impressed the with power from the brushless motor. Coming from a 15.6v Panasonic (light weight, precise, medium duty), the build quality is very good but at 4.4lbs it can get a bit heavy. With the advertised TQ output, I expect the weight to come from the heavy duty gear case. No noticeable chuck runout. All in all very happy and if you are looking at the 'compact' version of the M18 fuel drills, don't bother, the chuck is definitely of lesser quality and its only 1/4" shorter than the hammer drill with the 2.0mah battery. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the money, lots of power This hammer drill has tons of power! Amazing run time never seen anything like it. Milwaukee did an awesome job on this tool. It is well balanced and easy to control. The grip is comfortable and the controls are easy to use. The hard case is tough and easy to store tools in. For a cordless tool it has lots of torque. The side handle is nice for high torque applications so I won't hurt my wrist. I have not dropped it yet but but it feels like it will hold up. I got this this with a third battery which is a bonus because I have the M18 fuel impact and M18 circular saw. Anyway, would definitly buy this tool again. Cannot wait till M12 fuel comes out. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ok hammer drill I bought this hammer drill roughly three months and so far is ok. The quality is good. The grip is excellent. The drill looks solid. One thing thou, I was expecting more torque and power from this pricey drill. For bolting long heady duty lag bolts into wood it gives up and you have to finish the job with an electric drill or manually.... Overall is good product. July 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great, but look closely! Love the Hammerdrill. Has great power and run time! I don't feel any weight difference from my 2602 Hammerdrill, but definately feel more power and runtime. The only gripe I really have is that the chuck is not the same as pictured in the majority of advertisement, as a matter of fact, it's not even the same as the one pictured on the front of the package. I wrote milwaukee on this, as I thought at first there was some type of manufacturing mix up, and they replied that the pictures are not accurate depictions of the actual product, and the one I had was legit. So I ask why the deception? In the video below, at 1:36 is the only place I have seen the correct chuck. April 1, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's good, so far Been using it a week. So far, it's good. It does not feel lighter than previous generations or competing brands. The chuck will loosen if you are drilling and drop the bit out if you point the drill down. Every drill does this, I just wish they would have fixed this. The charger charges both 18 and 12 volt on the same device, but only one at a time. I use both heavily at work and the one charger isn't going to cut it. On the plus side, it has a ton of go and will push you off a ladder if you aren't careful. Feels balanced very well and seems durable. I like it a lot and it does it's job, it isn't soooo much better though. If you need a good drill and have the money, go for it March 23, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impact Driver failed after 2 weeks I am a professional contractor and I have been using the new M18 Fuel for about a month now. After 2 weeks of use with the Impact Driver, it quit working. I had a full battery and the LED light worked on the drill, but it wouldn't spin. I returned it and got another set in hopes that this was a fluke. I got another set because I have NEVER used a drill set this powerful! August 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great power in a small package Basically used this to replace my old, and huge 28v drill. Nice size, power, and good runtime. The charger does take a while, and the RPM's and IPM's are lower than some other drills on the market I tested. It takes noticably more time to drill through metal, masonry etc. In wood where torque is more important its great, but I'd really love to see more speed in future models and a 3 speed gearbox would be nice as well. Also the handle mount is only 90 or 180 degrees, its not the rotating type you find on most other drills. The grip is much impoved over older Milwaukee products, and the tool is well balanced with the 3 amp hour battery, with the smaller one it tends to be very nose heavy as the body is more compact and all the metal parts are in front of the trigger.
