Answer:
yes it is easily removed but best of all if you use the drill like I do it gets very warm and the grip handle actually acts like a heat sink and helps remove heat from the drill.

Answer:
Yes. Attaches firmly with a threaded clamping mechanism. Tighten/loosen by turning the handle. Similar to ring-style grips but superior due to the ridged, form-fitted clamp and notches.

Answer:
Model 2604 is the first generation FUEL Hammer Drill while model 2704 is the new generation of the FUEL Hammer Drill. This means that 2704 is more powerful, faster, lighter, and more compact than 2604.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This hammer drill is fantastic The power or this hammer drill is unreal I have owned many different drills and none of them perform like this one. With the RedLink 3.0xc battery it runs like a bull through 4x4s with a 1 inch auger bit without a problem. Hands down this is a great drill it's light weight and feels good in the hand and on the arm plus it fit in good with the rest of my Milwaukee power tools. October 30, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NOT "heavy duty" as Milwaukee advertises Loved it until I started having some issues with it. Took it to an authorized repair center after less than 3 years of moderate use, and was told that it was wore out and not worth repairing. The 5 year warranty doesn't seem to be worth the paper it is written on either. I'll go back to DEWALT. October 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great drill this drill has as much power as a corded drill, good speed control and long run time. if you need a drill or just upgrading your tools this is a must have. May 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This tool has a lot of power I use it around my house. The concret is very old and hard. This works as good or better than my corded drill. March 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Cordless Hammerdrill We hammer drill 600 to 1000 holes per day. The power of this drill allows us to complete jobs much faster and the brushless technology is a must for us as a drill with brushes simply gets too hot too quick. For our needs this has proven to be an outstanding drill and we absolutely love the 6 battery charger Milwaukee makes. We come home and all 6 of our batteries need charged and it's nice to put them all in to charge at once and not have to remember throughout the evening to keep switching out batteries. We Love our Milwaukee Tools!! October 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by M18 Fuel 1/2" Hammer Drill/Bare Tool Driver It is the most powerful rechargeable power tool I've ever owned ..... I use it in my shop for all applications where I do not use my drill press ..it is an absolutely fabulous driver and powerful drill. The trigger is responsive and easy to get used to. August 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hang on tight! The new 18V lithium/ion hammerdrill/driver has increased torque versus our older models. Also, this drill is lighter. The new charger has an added feature so you can charge 12V compact driver batteries in the same charger as the 18V batteries. This means we were able to reduce the number of chargers needed - since these are the 2 major power tools used in the shop. July 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing power I bought this Drill for a garage build on an existing pad. Needed to drive sleeve anchors in to pad to anchor walls. Went above and beyond expectations. Didn't have to change battery out. Came with two 4.0 batteries. July 6, 2015
