We have a few cordless hammer drills, and they feel like toys to me compared to the Milwaukee fuel we bought about 4 months ago. The other day we were drilling holes about 3" deep into concrete for screws. I was using the milwaukee while others were using the other drills and I could hear all the other ones bogging down while the milwaukee just chewed through it like nothing. Drilled about 50 holes in a row before the drill started to feel warm to the touch.
Drilling into wood and driving screws is a breeze as well. I've also used it to mix about 10 buckets of tile mortar where there was no access to power. It worked perfectly without getting hot or bogging down on gear 1 (i think its 0-500 rpm).
To sum it up, it has very consistent power, a huge amount of torque, great speed, awesome batteries and an actual good hammer mode. I would recommend this drill to all contractors.

Okay so I am currently on my third fuel drill in the last month and a half. I love the drill it performsany task I throw at it with ease but after two weeks of work the bolt inside the chuck snaps off. This keeps happening while augering through wood studs. after the bolt head snaps off im left with a drill that can only drill in not reverse out or the head will unscrew and be stuck in the wall. home depot has given me two replacements so far and I'm sure I will get more soon. exact same problem everytime in the same time range. I love the look I love the feel I love the power I love the performance but this one fault is getting the best of me and making me question a awesome drill. since it came with the multi port charger I went out and bought a bunch of m12 tools aswell thinking this was gonna be around for awhile but now im having these issues and I cant switch drill brands cause I require the charger. please milwaukee get it together fix this cheap screw tht appears to be plastic coated with metal.... as funny as tht sounds tht is wht it appears to be .... i see shinny metal then a plastic hue in the middle .... god dmn spend the 50 cents save me the trip to home depot and have a driilll tht is perfection.... I had the milwaukee hammer drill non fuel version prior to this and you can definately tell this one has more in all the right places .. my previous non fuel burnt out after two months of hard hard use luckily they gave me the option to upgrade to the fuel... its a good drill other then this one issue I'm wondering if anyone else is having these problems aswelll I often think these reviews are store made and not real people speaking out. sorry for rambling have a good one cheers.

I can't believe that this is a cordless drill. It feels like it has as much power as my corded Milwaukee Magnum Hammer Drill. The batteries last a long time before needing a recharge no matter what I am drilling through. Lots of torque, tons of power, and it hammers through concrete and brick with ease. The Fuel will sink any fastener that you through at it. The drill is also very light and durable; I never use my corded drills anymore because this is the first cordless drill I’ve found that can do it all. I guess the brushless technology makes all the difference. Did I mention that I cannot believe that it is a cordless drill?

My vocabulary isn't deep enough to express how satisfied I am with this drill. It's power is unmatched. A 3/4 spade bit plows through a pt 4x4 in 3 seconds. The 30k plus bpm hammer drill bores concrete as fast as a forstner bit in pine. It's heavy, but dense as all get out, smaller than comparable top end drill only models that still have brush motors. I chose this drill over the milwaukee (non fuel) impact to drive 5" lags, simply because it was faster. Broke the 5/16 nut driver in the process. If you're a contractor by trade, get the tool which will have all your peers in envy. I used to have all sorts of different brands in my tool box, most broke down, milwaukees last, and last, and last

I am an electrician. I am hard on Drills. I run anything from tiny drill bits to 6 3/8 hole saws. First Cordless I ever bought was a Rigid, Junk! Then ran DeWalt's 18v XRP NiCad and thought that was the cats meow. Then flipped to Makita's 18v Li-Ion. Thought it worked well but not as great as the Dewalt. Bought this drill a few months ago and I am absolutely in love with it. Amazing power, in first gear I can turn a 1" auger bit as fast as with my hole hawg. Amazing battery life, I've used it on and off all week drilling 1" holes, driving various screws, mounted several panels in some poured concrete w/ TapCons, running 3 5/8 hole saw for boxes, and finally today for plugging, switching, and throwing up light fixtures... All one one battery. This is by far the best drill I have ever owned. Next week I am getting the impact.
