Customer Reviews

M18 Fuel 18-Volt Lithium-ion Brushless 1/2 in. Drill/ Driver (Tool-Only) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOTHING SHORT OF AWESOME!!! I watched a promotional video of this product. I was AMAZED at the durability and power of this tool. I'm a little biased, because all I use as an electrician is Milwaukee tools! Nothing else compares to a Milwaukee tool and it's the only power tool brand that my grandfather down to me have ever used. This new brushless line they have now is GREAT it outlasts and performs any other. I absolutely love the power and longevity of the battery. I drilled 42 holes with a 2" switch blade hole saw before it ran out of juice. I was drilling through tripple 2x4's!! Simply unbelievable performance, so now I'm going to go get 3 more for my business!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great drill, needs different chuck. I really is a nice drill, plenty of power and smooth, quiet operation. I love the short charge time.My only complaint is the chuck, unless im using a bit with flat faces ground on the shaft, it will slip, no matter how tight I tighten the chuck, on a round bit it slips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent drill Just an excellent drill. Good ergodynamics, gobs of power. Initially I chuckled at the handle attachment, but after an incident in tight quarters, I know why Milwalkee includes it. Drilling with a 48" bit stalled on a nail, twisted my hand so I could not release the trigger and the torque almost dislocated my shoulder. Talk about torque! No brushes to wear out, just a great machine. Chuck tends to slip if not cranked tight. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, But the chuck has problems I got this drill in a kit, it was really good for the first two years, but then the chuck started acting up. It finally stripped out with a bit in it and wouldn't un-chuck. Lost the drill and the bit cause you couldn't get to the screw to change out the chuck. I going to get another one just to give it a fair shake and see if it will last as long as my old Craftsman's. I replaced the Craftsman's because of the weight and the same type of chuck problems started happening with it also. All in all, it seems to be a better drill, but it just hasn't lasted as long as my Craftsman's hammer/drill ( 7 years of heavy use). I really don't want to lose all the other because of one little chuck problem, and of course the bag didn't last a year before it came un-stitched. Time will tell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tuff stuff I am a commercial and industrial heating and air conditioning service technician/installer. I have had no problem using my 1/2 inch driver to drill through 1/4 in steel I beams or drilling anchors in concrete using the hammer drill mode. this drill does it all and is used rigorously for installations and has all of the speed and torque you need to complete the job. I use my 1/4 in impact daily for service and cannot believe the power and battery life. I really cant complain about these tools. when the job needs to be done efficiently and effectively rely on Milwaukee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Loved my drill and apparently other will too I am a second year electrician, it took me this long to upgrade from my little m12 Fuel. I needed something with a little more power for my varying tasks on site. I went for a 30 minute lunch and came back to my tool bag just to find that someone took it upon themselves to steal my one month new M18 Fuel Brushless drill with the thick battery. I was the girl on the construction site crying because someone stole my drill, I couldn't be tough enough to hold back the tears. I saved up to buy that drill and was devastated that someone stole what was mine. I also cried the whole way home. Devastated. I can't afford to buy a new drill every other month. Makes me want to buy cheap brands that no one else will want to steal. Except I love Milwaukee Tools.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Battery- Terrible Chuck Haven't even had this for a year and the chuck is already bad and I don't use the drill all that much. I haven't tried getting a warranty repair because I know exactly what they'll say- that it's not under warranty and that I caused the damage. Rather disappointed and would not recommend.
