Customer Reviews

M18 Jobsite Radio/Charger is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 181.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from great radio except one thing For the record, this is a jobsite radio and is heavy duty and big improvement from previos model with one exception. The location of the power/volume button is bad design. I am a huge fan of Milwaukee products and between myself and my subs - we probably own $20,000 of Milwaukee tools. The problem with the radio, when we pack up and move the radio around, if the battery is engaged, the radio almost always comes on. The location and sensitivity of the power/volume button has led to so many accidental bumps, the button is starting to fail. After 16 months, you have to push the button just right. If i have to replace the radio, i will install a hinged plexiglass cover to protect the switch. I do love the fact it will charge my M18 battery, and the usb charger works from battery power.

Ok, I'm not really using it on a job site, but this radio rocks my garage workshop!!! I always thought that my detached garage just had bad reception because of its location. My old clock/radio could barely get a signal. Wrong. This gets all of my local stations and the sound is fantastic. The USB charger gets my phone to a full battery surprisingly quickly, and once I tweaked the equalizer to add a little more bass, I was set. It's also great that I can charge my M18 batteries on the back of the unit. I have bought a lot of tools from the HD lately, and I felt a little guilty purchasing this "luxury" item, but I can tell you now, I have no regrets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Radio Ok so I wanted a radio that was portable, Bluetooth (didn't need am-fm). I bought a Bluetooth rechargeable speaker from academy that claimed 10 hours of playtime. Lasted 3. Then I went to bestbuy and bought a 110v Sony portable Bluetooth which won't work if the truck isn't running so I decided to get the Milwaukee. First of all I have had many cordless drills and tools and tried dewalt Makita rigid and so forth. Milwaukee outdoes them all. So I already had the M18 batteries. Took this radio to the beach and used 1 battery all day while playing the radio and had my phone plugged into the USB port. Lasted from 8am until I left at 4. Volume was great even with beach wind.

I have seen no distortion when the volume is cranked up.... so that indicates to me that the speakers of a good quality. I like being able to play music that is recorded on my phone. The ONLY con for this radio is the weight... it is heavy. I had first bought the smaller radio for $119.00, but the first TWO were defective and two in a row is NOT OK... so, that's when I went back to Home Depot and bought this monster. Incidentally, I buy a lot of tools from Home Depot and the reason is that if there is a problem you will not have a problem returning or exchanging it. This is the same reason that I buy from Costco. A HASSLE FREE WARRANTY IS WORTH ANY EXTRA COST TO ME. Anyway, if you want a great radio, this is the one.... but, it's heavy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Job site radio with the perks! Bought this for the company on an after hour school wiring upgrade. It is very tough and a great morale booster! It was convienet to charge our 'm18 batteries and either blue tooth music to the boom box or hard wire it and charge our phone at the same time. Another great product from Milwaukee. It is very loud and had no problems covering most of the floor we were working on with some motivation! Had this for three years and haven't had any troubles yet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely fantastic sound on the job site. This radio checks... Absolutely fantastic sound on the job site. This radio checks a number of boxes. Bluetooth? Check! Loud enough? Check! Charges M18 batteries? Check! Even has a bottle opener on the side for when the workday ends, or you want to enjoy your favorite glass-bottle bevvies. I'm very happy with the radio!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Sounds great, I have been using it for about a month now. Recently had a 12 hour power outage and used it to charge my phone and play music the entire time on 1 Milwaukee battery. Not sure how long it will actually go, but I was pretty impressed with 12 hours. Also handy while out fishing.
