Ok, I'm not really using it on a job site, but this radio rocks my garage workshop!!! I always thought that my detached garage just had bad reception because of its location. My old clock/radio could barely get a signal. Wrong. This gets all of my local stations and the sound is fantastic. The USB charger gets my phone to a full battery surprisingly quickly, and once I tweaked the equalizer to add a little more bass, I was set. It's also great that I can charge my M18 batteries on the back of the unit. I have bought a lot of tools from the HD lately, and I felt a little guilty purchasing this "luxury" item, but I can tell you now, I have no regrets!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great radio except one thing For the record, this is a jobsite radio and is heavy duty and big improvement from previos model with one exception. The location of the power/volume button is bad design. I am a huge fan of Milwaukee products and between myself and my subs - we probably own $20,000 of Milwaukee tools. The problem with the radio, when we pack up and move the radio around, if the battery is engaged, the radio almost always comes on. The location and sensitivity of the power/volume button has led to so many accidental bumps, the button is starting to fail. After 16 months, you have to push the button just right. If i have to replace the radio, i will install a hinged plexiglass cover to protect the switch. I do love the fact it will charge my M18 battery, and the usb charger works from battery power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built for a real shop I work in a welding shop full of grinding, hammering, and other radios blasting everywhere. It is a very loud place. I have bought and returned the Ridgid and Hitachi brands bluetooth radio because you can not hear them in the shop. This has all the volume needed for a real production shop with a good, full sound. Tough, connects easily, and it protects your device from dust and sparks. This is my radio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Radio Ok so I wanted a radio that was portable, Bluetooth (didn't need am-fm). I bought a Bluetooth rechargeable speaker from academy that claimed 10 hours of playtime. Lasted 3. Then I went to bestbuy and bought a 110v Sony portable Bluetooth which won't work if the truck isn't running so I decided to get the Milwaukee. First of all I have had many cordless drills and tools and tried dewalt Makita rigid and so forth. Milwaukee outdoes them all. So I already had the M18 batteries. Took this radio to the beach and used 1 battery all day while playing the radio and had my phone plugged into the USB port. Lasted from 8am until I left at 4. Volume was great even with beach wind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the quality someone would expect from Milwaukee I had this for just over a year. I used it for a couple months. everything was great. Then we were caught in rain and it never worked after that. The manual says it's waterproof but it must be wrong. I noticed that my brother's Bocsh radio had GFCI outlets on his. it would be a great addition to this radio and better whether proofing. I could not recommend this tool to anyone even though I do recommend Milwaukee tools to people. This has been my first disappointment from Milwaukee Tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Job site radio with the perks! Bought this for the company on an after hour school wiring upgrade. It is very tough and a great morale booster! It was convienet to charge our 'm18 batteries and either blue tooth music to the boom box or hard wire it and charge our phone at the same time. Another great product from Milwaukee. It is very loud and had no problems covering most of the floor we were working on with some motivation! Had this for three years and haven't had any troubles yet!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from M18 radio/charger Seems well built, Bluetooth works well. Sound quality is definitely sub par IMO. For price I expect better sound quality especially at the upper end of volume. And bass is almost nonexistent. If you want something that sounds decent when you decide to turn it up this one is not the one to get.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Distortion and quiet Unit sounds ok at low volume and no bass. Once you turn up the bass it gets very distorted and have to keep the volume very low. Also with no bass and high volume it sounds even worse. High volume isn't very loud either. Only good things with this radio is its ruggedness and connection options
