Answer:
Use some 2 part epoxy made for metal. Use a bolt thin enough with a ball of epoxy on one end and stick it to broken off part in the holder. Worked with me!

Answer:
All the 1/4" hex drive bits that I've tried with mine fit with no problems. I'd assume your torx bits will work fine.

Shockwave 12 in. Magnetic Bit Holder is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Product Even though the magnetic bit holder is better than most similar products the problem of fitting the bit holder though a small hole is problematic. It is better and cost effective to purchase an individual long bit to get all application done. The magnetic application is the best feature for the product but it is also problem.

The magnet is so weak the bit fell out between floors and I lost it. It is the longest they carry but is too short so I had to buy two overpriced extensions to do the job. The people who designed this must have never actually done any of this kind of work, probably do not even own a drill!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well This helps when trying to get to screws and bolts that can't be reached with my driver. I can also drill holes that are out of reach of the normal drill. Magnet holds well. It is a bit long for my tool bag, but I make it work by laying on the bottom of the bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good extension for those odd situations WE had to do some holes inside the drywall, and needed the extra length to avoid excessive damage to the wall. worked fine, and magnet feature is a good plus. you won't use this one a lot, but when you need it, you need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool This is a well made extension. I like how thin it is. Great for when you want to extend a drill bit without causing a problem when you go deep in the hole.
