Can't go wrong with Milwaukee and this tester does it again! Design placement of power button allows for mor button life by not accidentally hitting it and wasting battery!

I would recommend this product but would have to recommend the next model up that has a light more as the light comes in handy a lot. But if you do not see yourself needing the light all that much then this product would work just as good. This is small and does not take up much space so it is easy to always have on hand for that one wire you are not sure whether it is hot or not. Saves a lot of time and provides a lot of peace of mind.

Yet I have not used it yet but I can say that it is well put together. I purchased one from another store and it broke after a few uses. You have to get used to how to use it. You have to use the tip of the sensor for it to work. Also, you can manually turn it off and see that it is off not like my other one from a tool store.

I needed to replace my old voltage detector. Found this one and I am pleased with it. Works great. Red light and sound alert easily to voltage. Green light indicates it is on.

For the price, this tool is the best non-contact voltage tester I found. It makes testing circuits, when your on a ladder and reaching up (for instance), much easier than using a millimeter or other device requiring both hands. Also, you don't need to reveal the bare wires to take a reading.
