Product Overview

Transform your pool or spa into an oasis of mineral spring-like water and save dramatically on your chlorine expenses. Mineral Pure uses safe and natural minerals to help purify your water, thus dramatically reducing the need for costly chlorine. Imagine, no more red eyes, dry itchy skin, bleached out swimsuits and a distinct odor on your body and in the water. Chlorine is strong bleach and is dangerous. Studies have linked it to cancer. The bottom line is - nobody likes chlorine. There are nine (9) models to handle any size swimming pool up to, 600,000 gal. The technology used by the mineral pure system has been around for thousands of years. It was NASA that harnessed what nature already knew and used a similar ionization system aboard the Apollo flights in the 1960s. NASA granted the manufacturer of mineral pure a license to commercialize their technology in 1989. The system consists of a micro-processor control box and a set of a scientifically developed electrodes comprised of safe and natural minerals. Mineral ions are released into the water, helping to disinfect the water. This will help provide long term, nontoxic purification while reducing chlorine use. Salt generators actually make chlorine and are subject to costly repairs and replacement. This system only requires the replacement of the electrode (approximately $170) and does not require salt.

  • Reduces the need of chlorine in residential pools over 90% and up to 75% in commercial pools
  • Swim in crystal clear, mineral spring-like water
  • No more red eyes, dry and brittle hair, itchy skin, bleached out swimsuits and the distinct chlorine odor on your body
  • NSF Standard 50 certified worldwide
  • Uses safe, natural minerals in an ionization process - never requires salt
  • NASA licensed technology since 1989

Answer:
In my pool I get about 3-4 years out of them. It's open mid-May to mid-September and I run the filter 10 hours a day. It depends on how long your season is and how many hours a day you run the filter. It has an adjustment so that you can match the desired output to the hours you run the pool. It's very easy to do, no tools required.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product Had this installed when I switched over from Chlorine to Ionization in 2005. No regrets. Pool water is sparkling, easy to adjust and test. You still need chlorine but only about one 3" tab a week for a 33,000 gal. pool. You use non-chlorine shock so you can swim in the pool 15-30 minutes after shocking. You need to shock the pool about half as much as a chlorine pool. The biggest benefit is the water itself. No more harsh chlorine feel when you get out. It's like swimming in bottled water. The downside is that local pool stores know little or nothing about ionization. Most don't even know how to test for it. Fortunately it comes with a great test kit and the manufacture is very responsive to questions and help. If you install this system you'll never go back to chlorine or salt. September 16, 2015
