I love polycrylic as a lightweight alternative to a heavier and more durable polyurethane coat, it has almost no odor and is easy to work with and sand. I use it primarily to finish furniture and have also used it on wooden coasters, a guitar, and various decorative bowls. It can scuff, and it's no substitute for polyurethane on things that need a tough finish, but for my own applications this is a wonderfully versatile and easy-to-use product.

We used this on our kitchen cabinets as we wanted to keep the wood tone as it was when we got them unfinished. This did not darken at all and am happy the cabinets still look the same as when they delivered them but with a soft non glossy finish on it. Definitely recommend this product if you want no change in the look of your cabinets. Also rinsing brush with soapy warm water was all it took to clean them.

I didn't want to deal with an oil-based finish, so I used this. It was easy to use, which I expected, but the finish is really very nice. It is a good I would expect from any poly finish. The single quart I bought was perfect for the three coats I put on a 28" x 80" door, both sides. I'll use it again, for sure.

Time will tell if this minwax product is a good one. First impressions although are mixed. I was looking for a "crystal clear finish" to apply to maple, a light colored wood that I wanted to remain light colored. I expected some darkening but not as much as this product produced.

It dries very quickly, so you have to work fairly quickly to maintain even application. I used five coats on my painted corn hole boards, and they came out great. They have not been used yet, so I cannot rate the durability.

After applying waterproof stain and white paint on a set of stairs I applied one coat of the Miniwax Polycrylic Clear Satin. It applied easily and dried quickly. The stairs and risers have just the right amount of "shine" to them without being overly-glossy.

Minwax Polycrylic in clear satin is our first choice for a protective finish on our woodwork. It brushes on easily, does not have a strong odor, dries quickly, and the water clean up is a breeze. It's an all around excellent product.
