Hi Tim:
Yes, it does. The product number is # 14444000. I'm not sure if your local Home Depot will have it on the shelf in the one gallon, you might want to call the customer service counter and check. If not, you can easily order it online and have it shipped to your store then pick it up.

Answer:
It sure does, although I'm not sure if all HD's carry it in the spray can. You'd have to check with your local store, give the Customer Service desk a call. It can be found on the HD site:

Howdy Sig,
Yes, there are many types and finishes that come in aerosol spray can for polyurethane and even stains. You can visit your nearest Home Depot and see all they have to offer whether it is in satin, semi gloss, or glossy finish.

Can this finish be applied with a roller?

I have seen this question asked several times but no answers. I have a large table to cover and a roller would be much more efficient.

Answer:
I'm not sure. I have applied it with a foam pad and a high quality brush and even application is difficult.
I suggest giving it a try. If you don't like the results from the roller, you can sand it lightly with 400 grit sandpaper and try a different tool.

Answer:
Yeah, I've used a roller with it - the extra smooth finish one. Careful to not "double roll," through it when it's tacky/drying. Sometimes if you missed a spot it's better to just wait and catch it with your second coat after the first one dries.
Best wishes with your project,
Deb

Hi Belle:
I would not recommend it on a hardwood floor. It is fairly resilient, but wound not stand up in that application. You are better off to stick to the finishes that are made for hardwood floors. Minwax makes a polyurethane specifically for it. Check with the guys in your local Home Depot's paint section for more ideas on other products.
Best wishes with your project,
Deb

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Ever for Everything This is the BEST product ever! I use this on everything. From decoupage projects to my hardwood floors. It was also used on my painted kitchen cabinets. My dining table was refinished over 20 years ago with this product and there is not a knick or scratch on the table top - and we use it everyday. I've refinished countless furniture pieces and have found that this product provides the best protective coating. Buyer Beware - there is a disclaimer not to use with latex paint. With this caution in mind, I have found that this product can and has tinted latex paint. The outcome has been a yellowing or as I prefer to say it provides an antique glaze effect to piece being worked on. April 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dried white This product did not dry clear for me, the area still has a whitish film coat over it. It was applied evenly, and I have used similar products before, so I blame the product. Now the whole project has to be redone. Waste of money! May 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible, Attracts every little thing in the air My surface was super clean, free of dust, oils, etc. Went to go apply and after a couple of strokes, hair follicles and anything else in the air gets pulled into the finish. So now I have to go sand off the finish. I was using a very good brush that Home Depot Recommended. Its very possible the finish was contaminated.... This item is terrible! Stay away. March 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy This product is so easy to work with, water clean up. It dries clear and quickly. Only time will tell if it lasts. I painted an outdoor sign and used this product because it dries clear. June 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrating to apply I have tried this polycrylic on many painted wood projects. The results are inconsistent. It is difficult to get even coverage. No matter how much or how little I load my brush, there are stoke marks and drips. I constantly have to watch for drips. Thankfully it all looks better when dry, but what an unnerving application process. I love to paint and refinish furniture, until I get to this step. Maybe I should try the wipe-on. I honestly haven't decided if the protection is adequate. September 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked over white paint I used the satin on a Pinterest idea to make a laundry counter out of a hollow core door. I painted the door with Glidden satin paint and primer combo, let it dry several days, then used the satin polycrilic. I had read some people had trouble with it yellowing over certain paints, but I had no such trouble. Looks beautiful. August 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great For Reclaimed Wood Projects This is an ideal finish for a variety of projects. It works really well for any kind of wood project that uses pallet or reclaimed wood. If you like the existing color and texture of the wood, but want to give it some protection, this is the product you want. My most recent application was applying a couple coats over a hand-painted sign made out of reclaimed pallet wood. I was happy with the color and texture of the wood, but I wanted to protect the paint from chipping – it worked perfectly. It protects the paint and gives the wood a little bit of polish without making it glossy. Two thumbs up! March 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Seals glitter Used it to seal glitter spray paint. Tried the companion glitter sealant spray but I was still getting flaking. One coat of the poly and it's staying stuck where intended. It dried clear and didn't affect the shine of the glitter. May 27, 2015
