I am building a table for a covered porch, and would like to use this stain because I like the look that it offers, however it is designed as an indoor stain. What product would you recommend to cover this stain that would preserve the look, but offer weather resistance for outdoor use? Maybe a marine varnish?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Color I used this color to stain a coffee table I was making. It's the perfect color for a coffee table and by not wiping out the excess I got a unique rustic looking finish which I'm very pleased with. The stain dried fairly quickly although since I didn't wipe off the excess I had to wait a couple more hours for it to dry. Once it is dry the chemical smell begins to go away. August 31, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful This product is oily and awful I would rather if necessary use mahogany finish the product is over priced for its quality January 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My all time favorite varnish Jacobean is the perfect varnish color for the vinyl signs I make. We brush the white pickling stain over the top of this. I hope this product never ever gets discontinued. January 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Deep, dark finish Made the wood grain on my pine almost black. GREAT finish for what I wanted. Deep & dark! Easy to use. The longer it sits, the darker it will become so practice on scraps first if possible. November 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Definitely do a tester first Didn't look AT ALL like we thought it would on a pine door. It has a very dark distressed look about it which we ended up loving. If a distressed look isn't what you're going for then this isn't for you. We weren't going for that at first but after finishing our door it really looks AWESOME!! April 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE this color We LOVE this color! We used it on an old white oak floor that we just restored, and we get SO many compliments! It has a beautiful, dark, rich color. The only negative is that it does show dust rather quickly. August 27, 2011
