Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Minwax Weathered Oak - love it Love this product. Easy application. Pigment is light and finishes with a stain color of weathered oak, as the name implies. February 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stain, just have to know how to use it! The weathered oak stain is great for many projects. First you have to stir the stain and get all of the coloring off the bottom. Next you need to know how to use the stain and understand how it works. I put a pecan color and let it dry and used a coat of this and it looks like the weathered collection from home and gardens.. Well, there was some sanding in there also. November 25, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too Light I bought this stain color to try to match Home Decorator's (owned by Home Depot) Weathered Oak finish, using it on an unfinished wood. It's my understanding that Minwax developed this stain color for Home Depot. After 3 coats it is still way too light. I'm tempted to add some browner stain to the can of Weathered Oak and let the chips fall where they may. I have contacted c/s at both Home Depot and Home Decorators. While nice, they couldn't have been less helpful September 5, 2014
