Answer:
David, the Miracle Gro Moisture Control Garden Soil is meant to be used as a soil amendment. It should be mixed in a 50/50 ratio with native soil and should not be used in containers.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First time buying this, and it is awesome. Love it. For the first time planting my own mini indoor garden. July 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy this!! Used their topsoil, came with gnats. Switched to this kind and came with even more gnats. Now I have an infestation. You've been warned. December 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Offices and Home Potting For food plants we go organic. But veggies and fruits aren't the only plants at our home. We have flowering shrubs and plants, many of which are in pots or around the sidewalk. And for these we really like this MIRACLE-GRO Moisture Control Garden Soil. The advantage of this soil is the fertilizers and the moisture holding material. In our area we can have very hot days and heat stress can be a problem; and I can't tell you how many times I've lost delicate plants because I forgot a morning watering. Not a problem with this soil. Recommend for offices and for plants you aren't going to eat. It's a high quality, very fluffy mix. December 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent for starting a garden! I use it for the top 10 inches in my raised beds, each spring, and get great results. It provides plenty of nourishment for the young seeds and plants, and it's weed free. (This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry or is a review of free product.) January 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Unwanted seed problem I have used miracle grow for the past five or so years with excellent results. This year I purchased two large bags from Costco to start my plants with . I am very careful with seed placement. And so when I saw plants sprouting in places that I had not placed seeds and before their germination date I was sure they were weeds. I hope this is not a indication that this company has let its soil sterilizing standards drop . (This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry or is a review of free product.) April 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shredded plastic in soil I bought three bags of miracle grow, ALL THREE BAGS had shredded plastic in them! I bought them for a vegtable garden, not something you want to grow your vegtable with. May 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Starting a small area of grass. In North Dakota this has always been a very simple process but not so easy in the Arizona sunshine. We recently purchased a home in a retirement community that has what they call a "desert landscape." This became a problem for our small 16 year old very spoiled dog so....I decided to turn one of our round irrigated areas into a lush green oasis for her private usage. There were many bags of dirt available at the local stores and of course I tried a cheaper, unknown brand first but ater the first 3 months I had no visible grass. Back to buy more soil, this time the Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Garden Soil. After 2 months Sassie had a beautiful lush green area to call her own. An added feature is that some nice little long-eared friends have volunteered to do the mowing for us. Your moisture control is to be congradulated! (This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry or is a review of free product.) April 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Moisture Control Garden Soil work for my chili. My chili and egg plant grew significantly bigger than those in my front yard (no Miracle Grow on those) . My wife was impress that my plants really grow bigger and gave more fruits than hers. August 12, 2014
