I installed a vertical garden over the Memorial Holiday weekend on our side yard (facing east), I drilled 2" holes on both sides of the pipe with 6" spacing and I cut the pipes to 92"and filled with Miraclegrow. I plan on planning more strawberries, lettuce, peas, basil etc, with the 10 pipes we have 140 plant positions (see attached pics),
this product is very easy to work with and rigid enough to stand up to my needs, (we tested one pipe for 3 weeks and we have red, yellow and green pepper growing with strawberries at the bottom.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Babett this product has gnats all over my house
Two months, I replanted my house plant using this product , I now have little gnats flying all around my house. I never had any problem with gnats until I used this product and they are all over my plant and my house. I am now going to have to buy different potting soil & replant again & hope it doesn't die

The name is misleading. This is not a soil. It is an additive. You must mix it with soil to get the expected results. Follow the directions on the package and you will have good results. Home Depot offers a StaGreen product that is somewhat better quality at a slightly lower cost. It includes perllite which improves drainage, which is especially important in potted plants.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TxGardener Good for outdoors
I have to laugh when I read the reviews that talk about how terrible this is for houseplants, etc. The packaging and online description clearly states that it is for OUTDOOR use. If you want something for houseplants, get potting soil instead. This garden soil works great when used as intended. I am planning on buying more this weekend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brocnizer The negative reviews are people with little knowledge
The bag clearly states to mix with native soil. I have found the nuclear combo to grow plants. I use 1.5 cu ft of this garden soil, 1 cu ft of natures care compost, 1 cu ft of cow manure, 1 cup of milorgranite, and 4 cups lime to raise the pH and add calcium. Holy smokes, stand back! People were asking me how much I fertilize to get the tomato crop I did. My mom even said "why do you put so much fertilizer in there, its not healthy!" Some times its the Indian and not the arrow folks!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Chrisi Did not control overwatering from the rain and rotted all my plants.
I switched all my outdoor pots to this product this summer and have lost all potted flowers and shrubs to root rot all season long due to it not ever drying out when it rains. I live in AZ and found it extremely unsatisfactory for controlling over-watering.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AlaskaGreenThumb Fungas Gnats, Mushrooms, and Mold
I re-potted several plants with this soil. Each plant I re-potted now has a serious infestation of fungus gnats which I can't control. The other plants in older, different soil are completely fine and healthy. I've tried sprays, insecticides, soapy drenching, sand, potatoes to attract larvae, etc...Still terrible and filling up fly strips daily.
Also, the plant with the worst infestation has started to grow mushrooms and mold. See the attached photo. Mushrooms growing outdoors aren't a surprise, but I've never had mushrooms grow on indoor houseplants. I water sparingly, once weekly, and the soil doesn't usually seem waterlogged.
I have spent far too much time trying to fix a problem that shouldn't have occurred. I wouldn't use this soil again.

I have a container garden and I grow many different vegetables including tomatoes, cucumbers, squash , eggplant, etc. I have been using both Miracle Grow potting soil and Miracle Grow tomato food for many years. My plants are very healthy and produce a bumper crop each year. I gave up planting in the ground since I can water and feed my crops exactly to the specifications on the Miracle Grow labels. MY crops don't compete with the weeds and the ingredients in these products give me very healthy and disease resistant vegetables. I have encouraged my family and neighbors to use the Miracle Grow products to help them have successful results.
