How can it be 64 Qt, yet .66 Cubic Feet?

If this truly is a 64 qt bag as stated, that should convert to 1.4 cubic feet of material. The .66 cubic feet as shown in the details would equate to a 17 quart capacity.

Very irritating that manufacturers and retailers use different standards to confuse the buyer.

If I was as interested in this as you are, I would call the Company, Miracle Grow, and ask them.
After all, they did it... didn't they?

Answer:
I would think you had good drainage..(holes in bottoms of pots, etc.). If so, I don't think you have anything to worry about...
The moisture collecting nodules, in the soil mix, will have been completely moistened...
So, when & if you have a dry spell between showers, this will stay moist longer and NOT quickly dry out.
This is just my opinion...

Why is this not recommended for gardens, but only for potted plants? What is the chemical analysis of this product?

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 218 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality productypcal of the Scotts Company I have used this product the last three years for my geranium plants I keep through the winter. I repot them all in new moisture control soil and results are much better than other products I have tried. The results are nice full plants and with the miracle-gro bloom buster we get a lot of bright blooms. My wife and I do about 50-75 plants every year and this improved our survival rate at near 100%. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Soil I absolutely love this soil for my containers! I will not use any other soil for all of my containers & I have A LOT of them! My plants grow great with it! May 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fantastic product for potted plants in drought areas my brother, a landscape architect, turned me onto Miracle Grow soils ages ago. I have since moved from the northeast to southeast and have had to change my way of gardening. This moisture control is perfect my all my plants propagating in pots to fill my still spotty areas. Thanks for a great product April 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works like it advertises This is the only potting soil I use. Have tried others but the results are not even close. April 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WAY TO MANY GNAT EGGS!!!!!!!! I just bought a bag of your miracle grow potting mix to reppot my very young vegetable plants in. After buying i looked up the reviews and I read all these horrid review on your product about the gnats and your statement of that a few eggs are laid through the air holes during transfer and storage. So I decided to do a test. I took 6 samples from this bag I just opened (top bottom 4 sides and middle) and I brought out my old microscope to see what I could find and what I saw scared me. There are so many gnat eggs in here. There's actual clumps of them, i couldnt keep track when counting those in clumps. But i counted single ones i saw and I can get over 25 of them in the small view of my microscope, in a small very scattered and spread sample and that's what I counted before loosing track. All 6 samples were the same result. Meaning that the eggs are like this throughout the whole bag. There's just way to many plain eggs to have been laid there through the holes. More like they were in there since possessing. I would highly recommend your people look into this and find a way to fix it. I'm very unhappy with this. But I shall continue with the planting and I hope that this mix makes my plants 2 times as big like you say. I will use sand as you suggest but I surely hope you fix this or I'm never buying another thing from you and I'll make sure I spread that cause that many eggs in a bag is ridiculous and no one deserves to have gnats all over their house and killing their plants April 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Gnat infested I used this mix for some plants in our office and was so confused when we started getting gnats all over the office. I tried sprays and traps for weeks before using a layer of food-grade diatomaceous earth all over the surface of the soil. That finally killed them. I went to open a sealed bag of this mix to cover the top of the plants again, and 100s of the gnats flew out of the newly opened bag. I quickly shut it and threw it in the garbage. I spend over $150 on products trying to kill and trap these gnats, so this made me livid. I also couldn't water my trees while the gnats were there (because they thrive in damp soil) and my six 5 foot tall benjamina ficus died as a result. All in all, I'm out over $400 because of this potting mix. Do yourself a favor and buy something else! December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moisture Control potting soil mix Miricle grow soil is the only ones i ever use, after finding that other sor companies add, bark sticks and rocks. The reason i use the moisture control soil is that i have dozens of large pots filled with trees, dogwood, corkscrew willow, maple, bamboo and cannas, snapdragons, rose, delphinium, Lily of the nile. The pots sit out on my driveway and the heat gets hot during summer, well until i started using the moisture control soil i was losing a few plants a year due to drought. I try and water everyday but it wasn't enough. With the moisture control I no longer have to worry about the plants dying or the soil hard panning. Sometimes i mix the moisture control with other miracle grow soil and that works fine too. If you are doing pots and containers you just have to use moisture control (This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry or is a review of free product.) January 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It really works Been using this product for 4 or 5 years now. I get flowers from a local nursery and this really helps to keep them growing and blooming all season. I had tried other bargain product from the local big box store and none performed as well. (This review was submitted as a sweepstakes entry or is a review of free product.) January 9, 2016
