I've mixed according to instructions the large spoon to 1.5gal of water but it did not say how much of the diluted mix to apply to mid season plants. So I ended up putting 0.5 cup to smaller plants and 1 cup to larger tomato plants. Does anyone think that is too much or too little?

Is there any Potting soil for vegetable covered the whole season

Dear Sir, As a gardener, I am looking for a pot soil having all nutrient required for most vegetable crops from seedling to Adult Stages in particular for Solanaceae & Cucurbitaceae Crops without any further amendment. My Idea is to grow the vegetable in bag Culture Technique with only water drip irrigation rather than the continuous pumping the nutrients through irrigation system used . Thank You

Here at Home Depot, Vigoro has a fertilizer for blooms that has time-release nitrogen, so it would work well. It's the only one I've found that is both controlled-release and emphasizes blooms (which means fruit/veggies, too).

I'm out of all purpose plant food. Can i delut the water soluble tomato plant food.

Asked by: Sassy
Great question. Our Miracle Gro Water Soluble Tomato Plant Food, although labeled for tomatoes, is a strait fertilizer that can be used on any multitude of plant and vegetable types. Apply to the base of the plant, just as you would the All Purpose Plant Food, every 10 - 14 days. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any additional help to you. Our phone number is 877-220-3089 and we ask that you please refer to your review when calling.

Water Soluble 1.5 lb. Tomato Plant Food is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 108.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes plants grow and produce I planted these tomato plants the last week of March. They were only 3 to 5 inches tall. I began fertilizing them after a few weeks in the pots you see them in now. They started to really grow after the fertilizing started to the point that you could see growth each day. I also used this fertilizer on my flowers in my front yard. They also began to show growth and began to bloom within a week and a half. My tomato plants are now showing fruit over the last three days. There are lots of blossoms on the plants and if they continue to grow at this pace, I should be eating tomatoes in a few more weeks. This is my first time growing tomatoes in a pot, but these are strong plants and the one that is the shortest is the one producing fruit already. Miracle-Gro is the right stuff for your garden. All you need to do is prepare the soil for planting and begin feeding a short time after that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home garden I use Miracle-Gro for my rather extensive garden for a mobile home owner/space renter. 3 varieties F tomato, 4 kinds of melon, red onions, red potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbagecabbage peppers and herbs. I mix by the gallon, or 5 gallon and hand fertilize. Very Happy but think I should go to hose end sprayer.

This stuff fell right out the box at an appropriate rate, so it's loose and measurable. It looks like fertilizer so who am I to say it won't work. It dissolves in the watering can. So far so good. I don't want to do a side-by-side comparison of how it makes plants grow versus how plants grow without it as I really want to give all my plants the best chance to grow and produce. So I will have no idea whether, or how well, this fertilizer works. As long as it doesn't kill my plants I'll be happy. I'll maybe check back here and update in a couple of months after it has half a chance to do it's stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good growth and best harvests I've been using this with shake and feed with my tomatoes and other vegetables (all in containers) for a few years now. I get outstanding growth with plenty of blooms and fruits. Vast improvement over my father in laws unfed vegetables. This combo never has burned my plants when used as directed. Also, all are planted in miracle grow potting soil. OUTSTANDING RESULTS! Atkinson, Rutgers, Super Sweet 100, and Roma Juliet tomato plants

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did more damage than good I've always bought Miracle-Gro products. I thought it was a trusted name until I bought this tomato plant food. I mixed as directed & applied as directed. It took about 3 days to kill all my tomato plants. I was devastated. I will continue to buy Miracle-Gro plant food because I love the way my flowers flourish. Guess I'll buy it every year until it does to flowers what it did to my tomato plants.

Unlike many so-called tomato fertilizers which provide mostly lush leaf and vine growth, this MiracleGro product causes great fruit growth with beautiful tomatoes both early and throughout the season. It was especially nice for my Patio tomatoes.
