Is this product suitable for new coloured concrete kitchen countertop?

Asked by: Darwin
I'm very confused. The question specifically asks about concrete counter tops. This is my question also. So is this or isn't this product suitable for sealing a concrete counter top... I'd like a product rep to answer. Thank you.

Just got this tiny product and it appears from the answers it will either cover 60 square feet OR 1000 square, that is quite a range.

How often to apply product

I used this product on granite tile in my newly remodeled bathroom floor and shower two-years ago with outstanding results. How often should I apply this product to maintain the sealer/enhancer on the tile? Thank you!
Asked by: Kate
That depends on use and what you are using to clean the areas that you applied the product on. I haven't ever gone back to reapply but, I'm not using my sealed areas like your are. This enhancer appears to be pretty strong stuff, I'm sure you remember the smell when you applied it the first time. Call the technical line at the manufacturer to see if you even need to reapply. Good luck.

It's petroleum based, but dries fast with very low VOC for a petroleum based sealer, and leaves a satin sheen if left on without final wipe down as directions say to do. If you wipe it down as the directions say after several minutes you get a more flat finish, but both ways do a very nice job of enhancing the grout lines and any semi-porous tile, but you need at least 2 coats to do it right. On polished beige Travertine there is very little noticeable enhancement maybe a darker Travertine would be more noticeable, but beads up water well, and it would be the same on ceramic tile too I presume.

I used this product on my granite counter tops, ceramic tile floors and tumble-stone back-splash in kitchen and bath. I used a paint brush to apply that seemed to work well without making a mess. It has been about a month since the application and it seems to hold up well to everyday use. I think by sealing up the small porous holes, clean-up is easier and more efficient. I like the way this product enhanced the look by bringing out colors in the tile and counter tops. There was a sort of semi gloss appearance to the tile after it cured and dried well which looked very nice.

They put it all over my 6"X 24" wood look porcelain tile and it is a mess. Shiny and tacky leaves tracks, my tile is not a shiny tile. It did not darken the grout. They came back and painted the grout lines 2000 square feet. Called the company that made the product. They said to use paint thinner, paint remover, mineral spirits or acetone. None worked I am going to use phosphoric acid next.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but overpriced I have used for years. It does enhance, and seals for about 2 years. I wish I could buy in gallon container and save $$. My cost for medium size stone patio is $180 for 3 quarts = 2 coats. No way this formula should be over $40/gallon. It works but I think Home Depot is ripping me on the price. RS in Austin TX

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Was not as good as expected, but do not mistake this for a negative review. Most reviews I read made this product seem like it was going to transform my stone and tile like magic. It does make the contrasting patterns in stone and tile stand out a little more than the regular sealer. I had already sealed my stone and tile and wanted a little more detail to show so I applied the enhancer. If you are deciding between the regular or the enhancer get this one, but if you are looking for a major change this isn't going to do it. Still a great product and I have used Miracle Products all over my house with good results. Applying this product is no different than the regular sealer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! I laid a 100 sq. ft. patio using paver stones from Home Depot that are a country look of light brown and gray. Once laid, I locked the pavers in place using Quickcrete cement. Unfortunately, some of the powder cement mix got down into the pours of the pavers. Once dried, it left the pavers with a cement haze, diminishing the beauty of the brown & gray stones. I tried using muratic acid, then a stripper to remove the haze, neither with much success. Then a local tile & stone house recommended this "Miracle Sealer & Enhancer One Step" and gave me a tiny sample bottle. It worked like a charm, not only restoring the color of the stones, but also enhancing them from their original look. This sealer enhancer went on quick and easy with a paint brush, and dried very quickly. Furthermore, unlike lacquer type sealers, this one is not supposed to flake and peal in the sun, requiring yearly reapplication. Hopefully just one application will do the trick permanently. I only needed one coat, although the bottle says multiple coats applied at least 1 hour apart may be needed to achieve the desired result. The tile place that gave me the sample only carried this product in gallon size (way more than I needed) for $170... more than I paid for the pavers in the first place!! Looked the product up on line and found Home Depot carries it in quart size for about $42. This product, plus finding it in a reasonable quantity at a reasonable price, quickly and easily brought to an end what had turned into a tedious, frustrating and disappointing project experience. I'd highly recommend this sealer/enhancer for anyone dealing with a similar issue.
