How do I seal grout?

I have tile counter tops in my kitchen. I think the grout is loosing it's seal. It no longer stays clean after bleaching. I need advice on how to seal the grout and what product to use. Thank youl
Asked by: jake
Hi Jake, Once your grout is completely clean(free from any and all stains or dirt) apply our 511 Impregnator directly to the grout. Allow 511 Impregnator to penetrate in for 3-4 minutes then buff off any and all excess sealer on the surface. Keep the grout free of any staining agents for 72 hours and your grout will be sealed and ready for use. Thank you, Miracle Sealants

Maybe it was a combination of the type of stain, type of granite surface and the poultice that doomed this clean-up job. I did not retry using the poultice. I am getting better results using a process with household OTC items that I found on the internet so I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle is right! We purchased a foreclosed home that needed some major TLC. There is travertine in the guest bathroom, laundry room, fireplace surround and master bath. The tiles in the bottom of the shower in the master bath were so heavily coated in sludge that you could carve your initials in them. The quote to get the tiles cleaned and sealed was over $1000. We tried scrubbing with the regular spray cleaner and it didn't begin to scratch the surface. This Liquid Poultice Cleaner totally did the trick. It made such a difference. We are no longer afraid to step foot in there. Next up, is sealing. I also used the regular miracle cleaner solution on the floors in the bathroom and on the fireplace and they look fantastic. The cleaner is great for mild to moderate dirt, but the Liquid Poultice was excellent for the soap and gunk build up in the shower. Would definitely buy this again and recommend it to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After trying many cleaners, I'm sticking with this After much trial-and-error with similar products, I'm sticking with this liquid poultice as it has been clearly the most effective at removing food oil/grease and wine stains from our (very porous) travertine countertops. It also only takes about 40 minutes for an application vs 24-36 hours for the powder-based poultice compounds. As a side note, I don't recommend travertine for the surfaces in your kitchen! But if you have it this will definitely come in handy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not work for me For some reason this product did not work for me. The tile had clear stains on it which were caused by the Grout sealer. This product did not work at all from removing them. Maybe it did not apply to my situation.
