Answer:
I don't know about tile. I used it on travertine and grout. It removed dirt well from the travertine and the grout. I had to scrub the grout, but this product worked the best of everything I've tried so far.

I am not sure I understand your question. Why would you need to remove the grout sealer before using the grout cleaner or tile cleaner? Now if you used a sealer and trapped in dirt and you realize you have ugly grout and want it to look better, then I have to ask you this: Which grout sealer did you use and what is the active ingredient? Different things require different solutions.
Mineral Spirits will dissolve some of them, Phosphoric acid will dissolve others. If you can give me the product name and the active ingredient list, then I can offer more help.
Also, if you know what was used, call the manufacturer to see if they can tell you. Some of these sealers go pretty deep into the grout and might not be removable completely.
Another option is to clean the grout thoroughly and recolor it with specially made products to make them look fresh.
Good luck!

This question is not easy to answer. First we would ask why you need to remove the sealer to use a cleaner? We would also want to know what kind of sealer you used? it may be best to contact the Miracle Sealants Technical support hotline to get this questions answered. 626-443-6433 X3013

32 oz. Tile and Stone Cleaner is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not the greatest It worked but not at the strength that was recommended. I had to use a much stronger ratio in order for the cleaner to work properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product We were really intimidated at the task of cleaning almost 2000 square feet of indoor slate tile. But it turned out to be easier than we thought. We mixed 1 quart of the cleaner with 5 gallons of water and ended up using 3 quarts (15 gallons mixed) to do the entire floor. This product lifted years old stains. After a little experimenting, what worked best for us was one person on an orbital cleaner and one following up behind with a wet shop vac. We only left the cleaning mixture on the floor a few minutes. When we first left it on too long and it started to dry, then it din't look as good as when we sucked up the excess water and foam immediately.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed After reading positive reviews, I purchased Tub and Stone Cleaner. I was very disappointed in it. I followed the directions with not results to speak of. I increased the product (to water) ratio. Reapplied it to tile and tub, let it sit, then scrubbed using a brush attached to drill. After an hour, I gave up. I would not recommend this product. It didn't perform any better than what I get at the dollar store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product The product works well but takes a bit of scrubbing to remove surface stains. As the instructions recommend, after scrubbing, leave it on the floor for 5-15 minutes & work in by scrubbing the solution a second time. I have porous white porcelain tiles and the results where good. Wear a breathing mask as the odor can be quite strong.

While there seems to be some legitimate debate about whether this is necessary at all (for new travertine), it's probably a reasonable effort. Worked fine, as did the Sealant itself, again despite the controversy about its need. The further question about how OFTEN this needs to be used, remains yet more obscure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works better than other products I have tried Keeping honed travertine clean can be a challenge. This product does a great job cleaning up the grout lines.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Miracle sealants Used on rainbow stone. Did not clean as well as I would have liked. I think the stone was too porous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work on travetine at all. I was very dissapointed & returned the product This was purchased for travertine marble that was pourous and had not been deep cleaned in 10 years. I used the 16:1 concentration EXACTLY as directed on the bottle. Even with scrubbing, this product did not make a dent in the dirt. I poured the concentrated product directly on the floor and left it on for 20 minutes. It did not take the any of the ground in dirt off. I called the company , they told me it is the weakest solution they offer and perhaps the floor could not be cleaned. I told the company clorox clean up and MR Clean Magic eraser worked and made the tile look new. This product does not work on porous travertine.
