I was very optomistic about these grout pens and bought 25 of them to recolor the grout on my kitchen tile. After applying, I sealed with a top rated grout sealant and felt certain that this was going to be a great answer to recoloring my dirty grout. The color I bought was perfect for my tile - buff". It's been a couple of weeks and I have found that when I wash the floor, the grout color comes off! I put many hrs. Into recoloring my grout and it was all for nothing!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Barbara Bad Product!
The pen tip was coming off bit by bit when I was applying it on the floor grout, the damaged tip continuously generate dust itself. It couldn't cover 175 sq ft, It hardly covered my bathroom floor which is about 40 sqft. Now I have to buy another product Polyblend grout renew colorant which is great. I never bough any product as bad as this one.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JR Do NOT purchase if you want BUFF or Tan color!!! This is bright orange!
Seriously - not even close - all 3 of them at my local home depot were already opened - maybe everyone else discovered the same thing and returned? Had to write this review to warn you!!! NOT the color of the cap not even close - it is actually closer to the color of the one star rating - seriously. I included a picture where I tested it on tile that will be under the sink cabinet (luckily!).

The actual color doesn't remotely resemble the color tab on the stick. It is much darker, even using the water reduction recommendation. The shade was deeper and more to a red tone then to the beige as shown.

Though they can be difficult to prime, they offer good coverage and cover-up. Looks new after completed! Good follow up is Miracle Sealant product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terminator Applies Easily and Looks Good
As part of a mini-upgrade to the guest bath, when faced with the choice of replacing the countertop/sink or refreshing the grout/caulk (use different products, this is for grout only), I opted for the latter since the ceramic tile is still in excellent shape and also used it to accent some of the ceramic shower tile (iron in well water discolored grout lines over the years). While the color did not really match the cap, it provided a nice accent that I like (see photos).
I would recommend this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Selling4house Pretty good job
I scrubbed the black mold with bleach and scraped with a razor. After it was clean and dry, I then sealed with this grout pen. I found that the nib fell apart near the end of its life. Had to keep pushing the nib to make sure the flow was good. The pen tip was nice and thin for this job. It took 2 pens to do the bath tiles - at over $12, it would have been more economical but not as fast to apply the GroutRenew. However, I would have had to find a thin applicator like the pen tip. So likely the pen worked better for me. See the results - looks like a new tub (15 years old and used by 2 BOY teens).

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by stef Color does not match the lid
I don't know if something was wrong with the grout pen that I bought but the color does not even come close to buff. I purchased buff and the package says buff but the color is dark brown. It's a good thing
that I tested a small area on the side of the counter no one can see.
