The rough edge of my bathroom mirrors always looked unfinished to me & I tried to get my husband to surround the edges with wood. We could never figure out a way for it to work & not be too heavy on the mirror. This new product is very light weight but looks like wood & you just glue it to the mirror! The result was amazing & made the room look very high end.I did all the baths in my home. It was very easy after we got the hang of it.Two tips: be careful when ordering colors. The oak looks dark brown & not like oak to me. My computer picture was more accurate than the product name. Also, if you are using two pieces to cover a large mirror, use the factory cut ends in the middle. I loved this product! My only regret is I wish I had invented it since I have had the idea for years!!

Only thing, it says you can paint it, but does not advise you to paint the back as well as the front and sides. Since the back reflects a little in the mirror, it is a good idea to paint the back too. Also the stickies that came with my pieces didn't work (one side of double-stick would not come off) so I used regular double stick foam pieces. They worked well. The Liquid Nails did not dry as fast as they said so it would have been good to have 2 people to hold it while it dried. But with just me, and only painting the front and sides, it is still a great improvement for my bath. Just leaving this advice for future buyers.
In fact, I used the white long pieces and the brown (plain looking) corners, since the plain corners don't come in white. Then just painted it all pink to match my vanity.

The corner pieces would not stick. The adhesive does not dry quickly and they just fall off. Also it does not look like real wood. Pretty cheap looking and I spent over $50 to get all the pieces, corners, and adhesive!! I could have bought a new decent looking mirror for that.

Pros: Mirror Edge is made out of polymer so you can cut it easily.
Cons: The polymer give the product an almost cheap appearance. Tried to paint it to give it a better appearance ... well can't do that!

Great product, looks awesome. Second guess the glue. Go with the hard as nails glue(mirror adhesive)

This is a great product for finishing off the plain builder's grade mirrors used in most new homes.
