Customer Questions & Answers

Is the Mirro Pressure Cookere aluminum better than stainless steel?

Asked by: boob
Dear Valued HomeDepot customer, We reached out to the MFG for more information and below is their response. "Aluminum pressure cookers are less expensive and provide a uniform heating performance. Stainless steel can have “hot spots” that decrease performance."

Does this pressure cooker have a removable pressure gauge nozzle and a small rubber pop-up pressure indicator?

I have tried using the more new fangled pressure cookers and do not like them. I like the old school pressure cookers that have removable nozzles that jiggle when cooking and can be removed and cleaned. I also like the ones that have the small round rubber pop-up indicator that pops up to let you know it is under pressure. I have had trouble finding the old fashioned kind. I hope this is one of them.
