This unit like most larger heaters has a terminal where you tie in the thermostat of your choice. The thermostat closes the switch and the unit comes on. You could pump those terminals telling the unit there is a constant call for heat. If you do this the unit is going to run constantly. Meaning it will keep running as long as you provide it with fuel and power. When I trouble shoot systems I often Read More

You could pump those terminals telling the unit there is a constant call for heat. If you do this the unit is going to run constantly. Meaning it will keep running as long as you provide it with fuel and power. When I trouble shoot systems I often jump out he thermostat to create a constant call for heat. I do this because I want to take the thermostat out of the equation, so I can find the problem. However from a practical stand point I don;t know why you would want to do this but you could. My concern would be that someone forgets to shut it off and you waste fuel. Read Less

Answer:
This unit, and in fact most of the Modine product that The Home Depot sells is 120 volt. The complete model number for this unit is PDP150AE0130SBAN. The "30" embedded in that model number indicates that this unit is 120 volts single phase and the gas valve and control circuitry is 24 Volts. Please don't be confused by the 24 volts. Gas valves and thermostats are almost always 24 volts even it the Read More

The installation instructions show 18" on the sides, 6" on the top and 22" on the bottom. These clearances are recommended for service the combustible services are less. If you would like to give me a call I can email you the installation instructions. Chris 978 651 3301

Sorry I can't answer that. I am with the manufacturer. These questions are usually technical and are therefore routed to the maker of the product. I would suggest you give Home Depot Dot Com a call.
I don;t know there policy. However as a Home Depot frequent customer they have always been good about such things with me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Seems well built, was very easy to install Installation was simple. Has plenty of heat for our 3,000+ sq ft building. I would recommend this furnace and would buy it again if I needed another one! Ordered online. Came in several days sooner than expected! The only "problem" that I had was it was difficult to fit it in my full size Dodge truck with a topper due to the sturdy box it comes in. We had to cut the top open and tear the sides down and remove the foam, etc. so that it would fit. Note: This is quite heavy and will require either 2+ people to lift it out and into position, or (better) a fork lift or hydraulic lift cart. November 4, 2014
