yes this unit has to be vented, i think it can be vented virticley or horisontle i have seen this brand heater only vented vertical

I am not sure I understand your question. This is a appliance that uses gas and electricity. Therefore the installation should be carried out by qualified licensed professionals. An electrician for the electrical and a gas fitter for the gas lines. The job should be inspected by the local code enforcement official and be permitted according to the rules of that jurisdiction.
