Product Overview

Home Armor E-Z Deck and Fence Wash clean and brightens decks and wood fences without the need for scrubbing. The hose end delivers a powerful spray to remove dirt and debris. The bleach-based formula is 2X stronger than other hose ends to effectively remove stains caused by mold, mildew and algae. The E-Z Deck Wash hose end delivers a higher concentration of cleaning surfactants to penetrate deep into the porous surfaces of wood and composite materials. The wide spray pattern is perfect for horizontal surfaces.

  • Spray on, wait 10 minutes, rinse off, it's that easy
  • Works on decks, fences, composite finishes, PVC, resurfaced finished, playground equipment and more
  • Cleans up to 800 sq. ft.
  • Convenient hose end sprayer allows you to pressure wash your deck using your own garden hose
  • Refill using E-Z deck & fence wash gal.
  • For non-porous surfaces like vinyl siding use E-Z house wash hose end

Answer:
Yes. You just have to spray down any plants in the spray area prior to using the product and then again after you use it.

I wouldn't use it where it would get on edible foods, but it can be used near other plants as long as you rinse the plants before and after use.

The Deck and Fence Wash can be used on anything that bleach is safe on, so it's good for bare wood, vinyl, brick and concrete surfaces.

Answer:
No, the Deck & Fence Wash is too strong for roofs. Try the E-Z House Wash instead. It's safe for the roof as long as it's rinsed off well in 5-10 minutes.

Hello Joey!
Thank you for your question! I wouldn't recommend the deck and fence wash, but the Mold Armor House Wash will work for your roof.

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 88 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I got one to test. The results look the the picture. Green came off the deck. BUT it took elbow grease with a bush broom. Push scrub brush/broom may worked better. Where the heaviest green was the stain actually came off, or was off by years of the green sitting there. BUT my plan is to clean deck and re-stain anyways. I am excited for my next year project of re-staining the deck and I will be buying this project. October 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by e-z deck wash This product is great to remove mildew from the deck and railing. Only issue is Home Depot has trouble keeping it in stock. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very effective liquid There was ugly mold on our siding because no sun can get through. I was amazed. Squirted this on and right away the mold began to disappear. Though it did say deck and chair wash. It worked great on vinyl siding. I October 11, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Worked in some of Deck areas, some not Rinsed deck, steps and pergola with regular hose nozzle, applied cleaner and lit it sit for 15 min. or so. Rinsed well after with regular hose because the RINSE setting isn't really enough force to rinse debris, etc. The decking looks much cleaner, but only in spots. The areas such as railing and pergola looked cleaner than the deck floor. As with the house cleaner solution, the Dial is a little hard to turn, from CLEAN to RINSE to OFF. You have to turn it to OFF when changing areas so you don't waste product or spray it on the lawn. I also found it hard to carry around, but I have arthritis in my hands and wrists. Not sure what the solution would be for someone like me. A smaller container may not be the answer because you want to have enough product and not have to switch it out a lot. Probably fine for a stronger person. Probably would take a couple more times, and maybe not even then. Probably need to power spray it. I will update post if a couple more tries works. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Read the directions completely before use. Cleans pretty well and the white film will dry off. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good product This is a very good product. I cleaned the vinyl siding on my house and there is one side that gets mildew real bad this side off the house hardly ever gets any sun except in the late in the afternoons. I was afraid that it wouldn't take it off with out haven to scrub it off and it actually did. I would recommend this product. September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hard working product Application of the product was as simple as could be. Did what it claimed would happen, and the building on which it was used had suffered mightily over many years of neglect. Not really effective on the most stubborn mildew stains unless scrubbing followed a second application. The only issue I have with the product is the area that is claimed to be covered; in the working situation, it treated about 50% of what was claimed. So, instead of 4 containers, we had to use eight. But, it worked pretty well and I would not hesitate to use it on my own residence. July 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I followed directions did not remove anything. Then even put directly on wood and used steel wool and heavy duty scrubbers, did not do anything. August 17, 2016
