Answer:
On the bottom of the transformer in the metal case is a pair of heavy duty screws to secure the electrical connection. In addition it has a clamp on the bottom of the case to secure the wire to prevent the accidental pulling out of the wires. It is a nice design and works well.

NO not as a single power source. If you wired 3 in line IE 4+4+4 = 12 the system could work but if one burnt out then all 3 would go out This is close to how the LED ropes work as the LED are not 12 volt LED. I would not install a dimmer on the 120v side. I do not know how the electronic side of the transformer would work with less than 120v. Answer:
Hello,
First, no, you cannot use a 4V light with a 12V power supply. Your light bulb will blow (almost) instantly.
Second, there is a work around, but it will require connecting 3 (three) 4V lights in series, thus their total voltage drop will be 12V which is the same as the power supply voltage rating. Please, note, that if you have no idea how to do it, call electrician and he will be able to help you.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Metal and Powerful what else can I say. Great product with new lower usage LED lighting this unit is designed to more than exceed the present and future needs of this home. loved unit so much bought a second one for my back yard. the time functions and dusk to dawn feature are great and it is easy to change if you are having a party or going out of town and want the lights on longer or even all night long. great solid metal case and window covering the switch keeping it visable yet protected from the environment. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Recommend buying Easy to setup, easy to program, works every night as expected! The display is bright at night and I solved that by putting a piece of black electrical tape over it. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Solid Product I didn't realize the light sensor for turning the attached lights on/off was part of the cover & not a separate sensor that could be mounted outside while mounting the unit itsekf indoors. Set it for always on & plugged into timer; That works fine December 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good outdoor light Overall it generally does what it is suppose to do. We set the on times for dusk and the off timer for 5 hours later and so far so good December 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rugged alternative to Malibu Transformer I had several Malibu transformers fail whenever it rained so I figured I'd try this as an alternative and so far its been excellent. Seems to be much more rugged and water resistant. September 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good product Works as it is suppose to. Easy control settings. I would give it 5 stars if it was a bit more sleek and not as bulky. March 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality product for this price range. It was time to replace the worn out power unit for our landscape lighting and all the negative reviews on replacement popular brand units sent me looking at other brands. I have had the Moon Ray unit for one week and it is working well. The unit appears well made with a solid metal case. It was very easy to install; just hang it on the wall, hook up the existing two wires to the lighting and plug it in. There is no complicated programming. Set it for either dusk to dawn or dusk to a set number of hours of operation. January 31, 2014
