No the two securing holes are larger than a 4x4 but you could attach something to the post that would work?

Answer:
The pre-drilled holes on the light are wider then a 4x4, you can use a small 1x2 , 6 inch piece of wood, mount it to the post and the light to it. Or Home Depot.com sells deck post lights.

Answer:
The light needs to be in as much a sun light as possible,if not the charge will be less and the light will go dim be for sunrise. I would say it needs a minimum of 5 hrs of sun to charge properly.

Answer:
This will work much better if it's charged in direct sunlight. Otherwise the light will be working off of the very small battery and won't last long. That battery is charged by the solar panels, so you really do need sunlight for optimal function.

Answer:
Yes, I would use galvanized or stain steel screws, to avoid rust dripping down the siding, also I would us a 11/2 a 2inch decking screw so it grabs the wood under the siding. Also don't over tighten them as that will pull the siding in and it won't look right.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 55 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really looks nice Just wanted some light shining down on my privacy fence that were not too expensive and looked nice. I had purchased some other's online first and they were the smallest little lights. These are just what I wanted. They are solar. They are plastic but easy to put up August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice size and bright I used this light over my shed door. I installed it with about 2 hours of daylight left in the day and it was still shining when I left for work early the next morning. Also the light is much brighter than most of the solar options available on store shelves. The only negative I have found so far is the housing is pretty thin plastic. I don't know if tis will be a problem as it ages but for only $12 its easily replaceable. I would defiantly recommend it. July 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE! Ordered a dozen, loved em so much, ordered 12 more. Such a beautiful glow, wish they'd turn on just a little earlier, but nevertheless, this pic does not do them justice!! June 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent choice Surprising amount of light lumens and area coverage, have it over South facing front door and can substitute for the normal hard wired house lighting fixture there for security purposes at least until around 4 a.m. when it shuts down (still dark). So I just rescheduled the timer for that door fixture which will obviously reduce home electricity demand. September 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solar Moonlight... These solar lights are the bomb! The cast the perfect light against my fencing. I have 20 on my back yard fencing. Looks beautiful from my 3 tier deck. They actually say lit during the late night hours. I would recommend these lights to anyone. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love these lights!!! I have been looking for a way without physical wiring to get some lighting to areas that are very dark at night that I need access to and got tired of carrying a flashlight. These lights provide just that! I got a full 8 hours of light out of the units. Ordering more today! I highly recommend these lights. July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dang, I'm super impressed. I just have to say these are the best solar lights I have purchesed. I am using them to light up a wooden deck/stairway to my 2nd story apartment. The light given off from these lights are super impressive. I have one elevated about 8 feet above the stairs and still the light ilumanates nicely. The others are about 4 feet above deck and they are nice and bright. Free light powered by the sun, great purchase. If I had to find fault in these lights it would be, it only comes in one finish. Great price for a good product. June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good item for the cost, easy to install Must have sunlight in the area in order for these lights to work well. If direct sun is questionable, the light will not be as bright as you may want. I would place the light in the desired area at the end of the day check to see you are happy with the power of the light. July 5, 2016
