Received this 4 cup coffee maker for fathers day. During set up, all the water stayed in the brew basket as decanter does not reach up high enough to activate the pause and serve function. Appears to be a flaw in the design.

Good small appliance. Makes good coffee. Takes up little space.

I bought this machine as a gift for my mother, who enjoys coffee daily, but not so much. Ease of use - done. Lid does stick - and may be bothersome for some who use it regularly.

This coffee pot was meant to be cheap and easy. Unfortunately it is and it isn't a good value.
This coffee pot could benefit from a conical filter, sturdier top cover and an adjustable temp heat-plate or at the very least slightly cooler heat-plate.
My biggest gripe is the heat-plate, it is so hot that my coffee tastes burnt if I leave it in the carafe for more than 5 minutes. I don't think the heat plate even has a timer or anything. I bought the mr. coffee product because I had a 5 cup mr. coffee pot that lasted years but had a broken top cover and now I'm wishing I never threw that pot out.

We purchased this style Mr Coffee because it's the style that we like. There are several other 4 cup styles of pots, but this is our favorite style.

Nice little coffee maker. Stylish too. I like it in black.

We have always had this coffee maker (4-cup), and it works great. Then, Mr. Coffee came out with this 5-cup with a metal decanter. I suggest not buying the latter -- it leaks, it's poorly engineered, you can't easily estimate how much water to put in it, ad infinitum. So, that's why it's regrettable that this 4-cup is being discontinued: it was easy to use, easy to read, easy to pour, no leaks from the decanter or in pouring into the system.

I had a Krups 4-cup drip coffeemaker for almost 10 years before it started to leak. I loved it. But Krups no longer makes 4-cup drip coffeemakers. So I bought the Mr. Coffee DR4. I hate it. First, a Mr. Coffee "cup" is only 5 ounces, smaller than the Krups "cup." The DR4 is so poorly designed, I cannot believe it. The neck of the carafe is so much narrower than the body that you have to turn it completely upside down to pour all the water in, making it very awkward. And to pour all the hot coffee out, again you have the turn it completely upside down. I have burned my hand from the escaping steam. I hate this coffeemaker.
