Customer Questions & Answers

Can it be used in the garage with the door closed ?

Asked by: Carlos
Absolutely, use it in your Garage with the door closed. /// This unit only emits carbon dioxide... the same as when we exhale. The danger here is not from toxic fumes, but the depletion of oxygen. This unit comes with a low oxygen sensor that is designed to automatically stop. This unit is so much smaller than propane gas log units used throughout the U.S. and most have no oxygen sensor or ventilation. Very safe as long as you ensure this unit is not used in a sealed - air tight enclosure. ///

Tag-A-Long 8,000 BTU Radiant Propane Gas Portable Heater is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product This is one useful product, a must have to survive power outages and loss of heating. I chose this unit over its bigger brother as it provides adequate heating for a small to medium room and provides longer usage hours. The build quality is very good and its very easy to use. I'd recommend getting the 5 ft extension hose from Mr.Heater and connect it to a 20lb propane tank for more than 72 hrs of non-stop heating. Very thoughtful safety features made me choose it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great heater I got this mainly for camping. I have a large dome tent that I use and when I camp in colder weather, I take my heater along. I am so glad I had this with me the one time we were out and the temperature dipped to the low 30's. I was using the one pound canisters and it actually had my tent so warm so fast I had to turn it off after just a few minutes. I was comfortable all night. Can't say as much for the other campers at the state park. Since then I have added a 20 pound propane tank and 12 foot hose. If you go that route I strongly suggest getting a filter. That will save and prolong the life of the heater. This heater is also used in power outages at home. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Green house heat My wife and I were looking for a heater for our 800 sq ft green house to get it through the winter. We turned to this efficient little tag a long and it works fine. We added a hose to make it work off a 20# tank and it last for 3 days. Although the temp in the green house only rose to 40 degrees; that was all we were looking for. When the over night lows were in the 20 degree range, this little heater did just what we wanted; kept everything from freezing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little heater for emergencies Nice heater works great. Heated up about 500sq ft to 65*when the power was out for a week though not that cold upper 20's at night. get over 4 hrs on high out of a little can. need to by an adapter to run 20lb tank I thought it was included by the way they made it sound. $75 a little steep 40 to 50 would be better. Would not leave it running while sleeping even though they say it as a O2 sensor. I would just put it in the bedroom for 45 min before bed and get it up to 80+ before bed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little Aux heater We like this heater so much, going to buy a second one. Great when power goes out, or need an extra heater in one room. Get about 6 hours on one small gas cylinder. At low, keeps our den around 70 degrees without any other heat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase I bought this heater on closeout about 3 years ago. Wish I had bought another one. Best purchase I have made. Quick heat when you need it. Love it and it is very safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this heater A friend bought this little heater for me last winter, I have electric heat in my apt which is very expensive, the building I live in is old, made of brick & has no insulation with old drafty windows so keeping warm in the winter without spending a fortune is a huge problem for me, this heater is amazing, within minutes of turning it on my living room is comfortably warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does it job and more.... I use my heater to heat my motorhome. Works excellent. We do most of our camping in October and November in the Ozarks region of Missouri. We have also used it in power outages in the winter to keep lower level of house warm. Would buy two more if needed.
