Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by More than one use for steel pipe I am doing the finish work on my new home. I have remodeled many houses in the past and I try to design one unique feature that I can install in every one I do. This happens to be a brand new home, but it still needs that one "WOW" factor. I have a loft in the home and I didn't want to block the view from the loft with the "off-the-shelf" railings. After many designs, I decided to use steel pipe. It gives the WOW factor, opens up the view, and allows great air flow. This pipe is very strong, it's easy to work with and it's holds the straightness needed for a perfect railing. Because it is running horizontal instead of vertical like most railings, the strength to hold itself straight was very important. After much research into railings, with a little elbow grease, some time, and a few good tools, this pipe made a great railing at an economical price. September 28, 2014
