my question relates to a few areas of buoyancy.

First, is that a max rating or a suggested rating.

Second, what is the expected drop with load. I am assuming that at 16 inches, just placing them in the water drops them an inch or two...is there a buoyancy table somewhere that I can do the proper calculations for finish height.

Answer:
Hi Bill, buoyancy means the floatability, the one you're asking about, 680lbs means it can take a weight of 680 lbs and will still be submerged. Hope this answers your question

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great price and service The floats were good quality and right to dimension. I will buy again when needed. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best price around for this size float After searching everywhere for the best price on these types of floats, I just couldn't find any dealers that could compete with these prices. Plus it was free shipping to the Home Depot store which from my calculations would have been over $400 for the 9 floats I ordered. These floats are very stout and hold my 8x20 dock out of the water enough to load on 8-10 adults and it is still very stable. I highly recommend these floats to anyone doing a dock build...
