Our condominium association has a swimming pool, and the clubhouse has tile floors in the area housing the bathrooms and changing facilities. Tile floors become slippery when wet, so we have used this runner to create a safe walkway to each of the areas.
I was easily able to cut the runner to fit our exact needs. This runner replaced a similar version that was at least 10 years old. The gel backing on this runner is definitely superior to the old runner, but otherwise the runners look the same. I expect we'll get at least 10 years of use from this runner. We vacuum it daily to pick up any debris, otherwise there's no particular care needs. With the gel backing, there's no problem with slippage.

This runner is great for the purpose of protecting a vinyl tile floor from shop dirt, grease, and bits of metal drug into the office from our metal-working plant.
It won't last a lifetime, but with regular weekly vacuuming, it will last for a about a year in our facility.
It is a cost-effective solution for a workplace where mechanics routinely enter an office suite from a manufacturing environment, with all kinds of shop debris on the bottom of their boots.
It's disposable, but easily, and cost-effectively, replaceable.

Used this on my basement steps and as long as you keep it tight when laying it turned out great. I wouldn't recommand for high volume traffic areas like stairs to the upstair to bedroom areas,,only about a quarter inch thick and would wear out quickly but, for areas like what I used it for or a runner through the house,it's a good value!

This is excellant carpet. I am using it outdoors to cover a ramp off my deck for my senior dog. It has held up against the weather, has not faded, very durable. very happy. prior to this, I put it in the kitchen area of my home, so my dog did not slide on the kitchen floor. Great product for the price. Highly recommend.

Second of these I;ve bought in 3 years. Generally, they hold up great but, in heavy traffic areas, the backing tends to wear away leading to the edges rolling up.

I used this runner over old linoleum tile in the kitchen and it worked beautifully. Tends to add warmth and a glass falling on it didn't break. I brush the dirt off or vacuum it. A few staples hold it well in place. In the living/dining room it is placed over carpet and it required a few long carpet tacks to hold it in place. It will keep the carpet clean especially when there is snow outdoors. The one problem I have is my dog sheds hair on the carpet and it is difficult to remove. It does the job I intended it to do.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WKTII Good For The Price But Quality Could Be A Bit Better
I bought the runners because I have hardwood floors and my dogs were having difficulties rising without slipping.
The price is reasonable and they look much nicer than I expected.
The only drawback is that the runner sheds and I'm constantly sweeping up the loose carpet balls.
