Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Had been looking at the Di****ex products, but fell in love with this item when we noticed it at our local HD. At first we walked away, but the more we thought about it.... Very little assembly required, just put the legs on and plug it in. The heater is not a blast furnace, but does put off a noticeable warmth - the perfect thing for a fireplace-less house in SoCal. Some of the finish needs a little touching up and the motor for the 'flames' does have a noticeable hum... Looking forward to a christmas with the warm glow of a fireplace in the room. FWIW - the price in the store was less than the online listed price November 21, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by We really like this-better than expected Picked this stove up on a "give it a try". We absolutely love it! (and we lived with real woodstoves in VT and NY upstate). This is one of the best impluse buys we have ever brought home! It fits great, was easy to put together and move and it is solid enough to look pretty good. I am also happy it does not have the logo plastered across the front (like their competition - which makes the other brand look fake). OK a little feedback might be for the company to make the heater a little quieter or like one of those radiator type heaters that would feel more real-fire like. It would be nice if it was easier to change the bulbs (a screwdriver is needed now-no biggie). But for the price this product is a very good value and a cheery alternative to more expensive options. We were all delighted. December 20, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks nice, heats well, but noisy This little furnace looks nicer than ones made a few years ago. I am pleased with the visual effect of the flames and logs. However,Th e motor for the flames has a warble like sound and the fan is definitely louder than I would like. I get the fan sound and realize that cannot be avoided to appoint, but the sound it makes when the heater is turned off is dissapointing. I will try it for a few days but will likely be returning it for a different model. December 14, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dont Bother-Broke in 3 months of normal use! I didnt buy the extended warranty because our last one from another hardware store lasted 3+ years using it as a source of heat in our living and dining room. This one after using normally broke in its 3rd month. The switch broke in the back, you cant turn it on. We cannot get it apart to replace the switch. So its sitting as decor now, no heat. It was 159.99 plus tax. Over $200 dollars for 3 months of little heat. Dont waste your money! September 3, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall, an Excellent Product This electric heater is great! We bought it because our living room space was always a little chilly. It makes a HUGE difference. I was worried because our room was bigger than what was recommended, but it works better than expected. The fire effect is also incredibly life-like. The only bummer is that when the light is on, there is a humming noise, which is a bit distracting. We are usually in there just watching tv though, which covers the noise just fine. January 24, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Okay for the price. Be careful with the switches, they tend to malfunction on a regular basis just by everyday on/off use of the item. The quality of the craftsmanship is poor to fair at best. The wooden top is easily scratched or marked up and twice it came that way from the store. When it operates it works well to warm a small to medium size room. May 22, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Heater My husband and I use this in our upstairs loft. It works great for this huge open space and we are toasty in no time. We were also pretty picky about the look of the flames. It has a nice appearance behind the doors. The doors are lightweight plastic but it doesn't look cheap. This is year two and I'd buy it again! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I like the product I think the product works fine but when it came in it did not work at all. After taking it apart to make sure the parts were in correctly, I noticed there were no nuts holding the motor to the screws. I think this is ridiculous that the product would ship partially assembled. Thanks goodness I have an electrician in my family. January 17, 2012
