Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Teecee The description of the sprinkler doesn't tell you that there is an attachment required. I purchased online and had to drive to the store to return the item. Home Depot discontinued the needed attachment so the sprinkler was unusable. It seemed quite substantial and well made but couldn't use it without the attachment.

This is the best system I have ever used. For people who have given the system a negative or poor review because they didn't get the adaptors ... you should have done your homework beforehand. I studied this system and compared it to others for a long time before commiting to changing over. It isn't fair to the leakfree system to give it a poor review because you didn't figure out what you needed ahead of time. So there ...

I always buy Nelson sprinklers because they last and work properly. I ended up returning this one for a couple of reasons. First of all, it never worked correctly. It would go through a cycle or 2 then quit returning (getting stuck on the way back.) Secondly, the Leakfree system. You need their hose connectors, their hose, etc to have it work properly. This proved to be more hassle than it's worth when dealing with a hose connection at the front and back of the house. If I wanted to water the lawn out front then pull the car out and wash it, I had to change hoses and connectors. Not an efficient system and quite frankly, I never had any problems with hose connections leaking in the first place. I replaced this with the regular Nelson Impact Sprinkler and that one works like a charm and I can quickly switch to the handl spray nozzle I already owned or move the sprinkler to the back yard hose without dragging the entire LeakFree hose system with it. . In the end, I found this entire line of Nelson LeakFree items hard to find and that tells me they are just not selling well.

This will NOT connect to your hose. You have to spend more money to get the "leak free" connector only made by Nelson. Most stores don't carry it. So now i'm home with this useless sprinkle. Unfortunately, the home depot is 2 hours away, so I will be returning it as soon as I can.

It wont connect to the hose.in small print on the box it says that it requires a special hose. This is really cute because the guy in the store wasn't there to ask questions to.

This sprinkler is part of the "Leak-free" system. It will only work with the compatible hose(s) under the same brand. There is a "starter kit" that includes a faucet adapter for a standard faucet, a 50 ft. hose, and a hand held spray nozzle. The parts all fit together with a twist lock system that is really leak free and easy to use. Don't buy this unless you are also getting the adapter and the hose (or the starter kit). That said, I am happy to change over to this unconventional but very effective system. It is way easier to use than the regular screw on hose fittings. The first thing my wife said when she set up the sprinkler was that it is better than the conventional sprinkler we had been using. It is very easy to adjust especially while it is sprinkling, and does a nice job. The hose and the sprinkler and the other parts are very durable, not your average light garden hose and parts. It would be nice if there were a reverse adapter so I could use the hose with my pressure washer. I expect Nelson will come out with a soaker hose and maybe some other accessories too, but still would recommend keeping your old hose for other devices like a pressure washer. So if you bought the starter kit and now need a sprinkler, don't fret that this is the only compatible one. It is worth every penny.
