my iron balcony railing is about 1-1 1/2 inches wide, and as I'm on the 3rd floor it's rather important that anything attached to my balcony railing is secure. Is this planter advisable for narrow balcony railings such as those of myself and the former questioner? Thanks in advance, from us both.

My deck railing is pretty narrow, 1 1/2 inches wide. Will this planter sit securely on my railing or is the opening too large?

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Break-through, unique design This product has been fantastic to me; having limited garden space, I had seen this product in person (and Nancy Jane herself!) in a flea market, and shortly after ordered it from the homedepot website. I've had it for two years now, and it is amazing. All of my friends agree that this is a such a great idea, and have went online and also purchased them, even though they have garden space. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DIsappointing I was told that I would have to use less water with this planter. This is not the case. I have to water it just as much as the other containers that I have. It was also difficult to plant the flowers as you have to fit it in each section of the planter rather than one large opening as in other containers. It is not worth the extra money. June 19, 2012
